iGaming Idol Awards 2017, a premium award show created to recognize top talent in the online gambling industry in Malta, has proudly announced the winners for the 16 iGaming Idol 2017 individual categories. Being acknowledged as the first award show within the industry to exclusively recognize individuals, this year’s iGaming Idol has decided to raise the bar to the higher level. This is how they have managed to do it.
A Few Words about the Event
iGaming Idol Awards emphasizes the importance of numerous hard-working people who make it all happen. The founder of iGaming Idol Awards is Mr. Michael Pedersen, who invented the show model which consists of a number of nominations and a panel of judges reviewing the candidates without being in a personal interaction with the nominees.
Speaking of the judging process, Mr. Michael Pedersen commented, “The judging process was a critical decision we made so to ensure that awards are credible. We have instilled major importance on this factor and believe it is the way forward for industry related awards.”
This year’s edition of iGaming Idol managed to triple the number of nominations compared to its 2016 predecessor and succeeded in doubling the number of attendees coming to the iGaming Idol Gala Dinner event.
The Core Values of the iGaming Idol
Based on the recognition of three extraordinary accomplishments including talented individuals and their results, charity and entertainment, the iGaming Idol Awards stands for a unique show in several ways. The event is organized in such manner whereby individuals and their personal achievements can also be acknowledged and nominated by their colleagues or company managers.
Besides the most prestigious award named Outstanding contribution to the industry Special award, which went to Mr. Robin Ramm Ericson & Gustaf Hagman from LeoVegas, another significant award established before the second edition of the show just joined the awards club.
On the evening of the 26th of September 2017, the show’s special award intended for the Employer of the Year deservedly went into the hands of Catena Media. The Employer of the Year award, judged by the employees, adds an interesting aroma to the show mostly because it is based on a survey sent to employees instead of being awarded by a panel of judges, like in other categories.
Comments from the Attendees
By redirecting the focus from online casinos to the employees and diligent people within the iGaming industry who give their best to get to the top and stay there, iGaming Idol Awards has brought a refreshing new approach to the fast-paced world of online slots and games.
The world-renown veteran of the iGaming industry and Editor in Chief of iGaming Business, Mr. Michael Caselli, arguably gave the best comment on this year’s happening, “I am delighted to host yet another edition of an awards event that recognizes the actual people that make the industry tick. As a stakeholder of the industry, this kind of initiative lies very close within my beliefs and therefore, when I was asked to host for the second year, it was a real no-brainer.”
Congratulations to all award winners and may they keep up raising the bar!
