The annual EGR B2B Awards are back and 2019 it was yet another fantastic year for everyone involved. The award ceremony returned with brand new categories to keep up with the ever growing trend and also returned to the incredible Tower of London on Tuesday the 25th of June. But what went down at this year's prestigious awards? Let's take a look shall we.
Another Prestigious Event
The awards, attended by anyone who's anyone in the iGaming industry recognise and celebrate the very best service providers in the online casino industry. They also award the achievements of suppliers from all major egaming disciplines. These include betting and gaming software providers, networks, mobile, payments, recruitment, IT and infrastructure.
The annual EGR B2B Awards came back with a bang this year, recognising the best of the best in the iGaming industry.
The judges this year are a team of independent, external judges who were selected to bring a diverse range of in-depth egaming expertise.
Groups of judges are then allocated different categories in line with their specific market knowledge and they avoid conflicts of interest.
A score is then allocated to each individual category as well as an evaluation of their thoughts. Scores are then submitted and winners are automatically calculated by their online judging platform. Scores and comments from individual judges aren’t released but EGR do release explanations after the awards ceremony for each of the winners in the categories.
EGR Keep Up Their Good Standards
This year EGR Global also announced the voting process would be officiated by accountancy giants Deloitte. This will ensure complete transparency and winners clearly demonstrate the innovation and commercial success required to be rewarded with this honour.
The judging process remains one of the most stringent in the industry. Good work requires hard work and the winners of each category are recognised for this.
And the Winners Are…
The ceremony which included drinks on arrival at reception, a 3 course dinner and an events drink reception was well attended but there could only be one winner in each category. Here are some of the most popular categories and their winners:
- Best Slot Supplier - NetEnt scooped the much-wanted and deserved award and took centre stage
- Best Poker Software Provider - Connective Games
- Innovation in Slot Provision - Microgaming
- Best Sportsbook Sportsbook Platform Provider - Kambi
A massive congratulations to all the winners and everyone shortlisted, what a fantastic year it has been.
