Blueprint Gaming announced the launch of the latest in line of their game development efforts: Lucksome studio. First games from Lucksome are expected to hit the market in the second quarter of 2021, promising exciting and innovative new content.
Achieving Strong Ambitions
One of the most acclaimed companies in iGaming, Blueprint Gaming, announced that it has officially launched Lucksome, the industry’s latest game development studio.
The studio is part of Blueprint’s multi-studio strategy and it’s led by a team boasting a collective experience in game design of nearly three decades, ranging from land-based, social and online casino. This new venture has strong ambitions to deliver localised games that are built with the player in mind, the company said, noting that upcoming titles will be packed with innovative concepts.

The studio is working out of Malta and the company tasked an industry veteran to lead the team. Blueprint placed its trust in Bryan Upton, a games design and content strategy specialist, who previously worked for NetEnt, to take the studio off the ground. Upton is joined by another NetEnt colleague, Josefin Uppeke, who will serve as the studio’s Head of Creative and Games Designer, with Johan John in the role of Senior Product Manager.
”We’re very excited to unveil Lucksome to the industry and to be part of the Blueprint family,” Upton said. “Our studio’s team is highly experienced in designing great games that resonate with players in multiple regions”, he noted.
Exploring New Game Styles and Concepts
According to Blueprint, the studio will be engaged in design and development of online slots, but will also dedicate considerable time and energy to exploring new styles of games and the innovative multi-game concept, with plans to start releasing first games in Q2 of this year.
Simon Thompson, Director of Design at Blueprint Gaming, commented on the launch by saying that “the Lucksome team have a strong background within the casino sector and we’re delighted to welcome them to the Blueprint family.”

The addition of Lucksome to Blueprint’s operations, Thompson explained, contributes to elevating design capabilities, which will in turn “provide a strong base for us to bring fresh and engaging content to the market.”
Lucksome is the latest contribution to Blueprint's game development and an important milestone in the company’s efforts to expand its global presence.
“Building a presence in Malta is an important move for the group and shows the strong intent we have to work more closely with operators and broaden our reach,” Lucksome Director Upton stressed.
