SlotsMillion research shows that 2107 will be the year of Virtual Reality

2017 Will Be the Year of Virtual Reality

According to the research that SlotsMillion Casino 2017 will be the year of the Virtual Reality Casinos. This will be the era that will allow you to play in the online casinos for real money. The VR awareness has spiked to the 92%. We are bringing you the scoop on this rapidly rising interest!

The Numbers

Researches are mostly all about numbers, and here’s what the 2000 people surveyed by Opinium said on behalf of the VR developer:

  • 2% have spent at least 25 hours in VR
  • 6% have been exposed between 1-24 hours
  • 15% have tried it once or twice

More specific numbers state that a total of 10% of over 55 year-olds have experienced VR. When it comes to that slightly younger population of 35 – 45 year-olds, the number says that 24% have experienced VR, whereas 40% of people aged 18 to 34 have tested this innovation.

Unsurprisingly those aged between 18 and 34 are happiest to fork out for the VR experience, with £134 the average spend they are willing to lay out, while those over 55 are happy to invest £74. And even if they haven’t had a go yet, the majority is curious about VR. Another interesting set of numbers are those who are declaring themselves as 'interested' in the technology:

  • Aged 18 to 34 – 80%
  • Aged 35 to 54 – 66%
  • Aged over 55 – 56%

One percent of those respondents considered themselves 'obsessed', 14% are 'very interested', 19% are 'interested', and 33% are 'mildly interested'.

VR Future

A lot of young people are interested in this burgeoning industry. So far 18% of women have tried VR and 60% are interested, whereas 30% of men have tried it, and 72% are interested in doing so.

Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Samsung are among the companies to have produced VR products. Experts, on the other hand, indicate that this sector could be worth up to £65 billion by 2020.

SlotsMillions CEO Alexandre Tomic said: "Our research proves that the critical initial phase of developing awareness has been achieved and it’s really only a lack of opportunity to try a VR headset that is holding many back from taking that step. Once headsets and the related technology becomes more affordable, I fully expect the interest and experience levels to continue to rise sharply."

According to the word from SlotsMillion Casino representatives VR can be used to create beautiful, vivid encounters that are more colorful and life-like than real life. It has the power to transport us to another world.

Furthermore, SlotsMillion is the creation of ALEA, a multi-award winning provider of innovative gaming experiences, founded in 2012. Earlier this year ALEA launched SlotsMillion’s Slots Tournaments, giving players the chance to channel their inner warrior by going head-to-head with other users while playing some of their favourite online slots.

Keep an eye on VR, and if you get the opportunity to test it, take it! We certainly will! It is the future after all.
