Casinos removing demo modes on slots?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've noticed many casinos im registered with are removing play for fun on slots, only left with tradacasino (no quickspin and alot of games removed if fun mode) and grosvenor (not much selection of latest games).

I used to do my testing on leo Vegas, royal panda in past which stopped and now yesterday unibet stopped too.

Responses I get is to stop under age from getting into gambling fair enough but surely if its a registered account and your KYC done than they'll know its an adult playing.

Will askgamblers keep demo modes still just wondering?

Yep I've noticed this too more and more are stopping demo play. We don't any plans at the moment to stop free play here.

Err...isn't the games at AG coming from the relevant different casinos? If the casino doesn't allow demo play, then we won't be able to play as well? I don't know...

As far as I'm aware all our games are still available in demo, I guess if a casino stops it they'll source the demo play from another casino that does. Tbh I don't know either, I don't have anything to do with the games. Guru will probably be able to answere this better than me!

Afraid @blondie is right and all these new regulations regarding age verification even when demo/free play mode is involved are now reality and all operators operating under the relevant licence must comply.

@Kingraj we are not expecting  serious consequences for the AG Slots portfolio simply because we could easily switch between casinos with different licences but still, please feel free to PM me in case you notice some inaccessible game here. ;)

Thanks, what I'm confused about is while I understand age verification needed to stop under age accessing and getting hooked on games, for us adults who are over 18 and have a account and KYC done at said casino they should allow us to play demo atleast, seems the people behind the regulations didn't think this through

Have to admit sometimes I have a rough time finding all the logic and motivation behind certain decisions taken by one regulator or another... ;)

Still, more info here - https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/news-action-and-statistics/news/2019/New-age-and-identity-verification-rules-–-changes-to-the-LCCP-from-Tuesday-7-May.aspx
