Universal Slots - Is this ethical or unethical?

So I received an email from Universal slots, following the email about nominating them I decided to check in on AskGamblers - Then I saw 6 notification of all new reviews for universal slots shortly after the email arrived, then I decided to go find out what the prize is about at Universal slots and saw the chat queue sitting at number 13, guessing all of those users most probably fetching their prize?

Not that I have a problem with it, was just thinking are these AG members not maybe reviewing Universal slots , then nominating them as best casino and then collecting their prize for the effort?

Surely that's unethical right? Since the reviews has a strict policy that it is based on your own views/experience and nothing was offer in return? Not to mention if I checked those reviews, they sounds it was just for this promo? as you can clearly see the review in the below pics.

Well mate, I have already nominated another new casino, so I cannot nominate Universal Slots...but I gave them my top 9 Stars in my review! (I don't ever award 10 Stars for any casino review, so 9 Stars is my max  :p)

Like I said, if I can nominate many casinos, Universal Slots would be one of them.  ;)

I'm not disputing that fact of that, I know your views about them. I know you like the casino and have positive things to say.

I am thinking these guys are reviewing and nominating the casino for a freebie - The nominating part I understand, but its against the rules to review a casino for a Prize right?

Hmmm...not that I know of...unless those reviews are nothing more than just empty words, without any actual playing at the casino.

Maybe our Guru can say more on this matter...  ;)

Yeah thats my points because a Prize is claimable once they review and nominate the casino I believe its against this clause - which is what I actual emphasis is regarding this post -

I declare that my review is based on my own experience and represents my genuine opinion of this casino. I'm not a casino employee and have not been offered any incentive or payment by the casino to write this review. I understand that AskGamblers has zero-tolerance policy on fake reviews.

That's true mate...all published reviews must be based on actual own experience and not just empty words.

But anyway, the shown example review by that OP does not qualify for the $5 payment...and there's no mention of any actual experience at the casino by the OP either...so it certainly cast doubts as to it authenticity.  :p

Hi Fiekie and thanks for notifying me about this practice.

Keep in mind that as long as a player review meets the AskGamblers Posting Guidelines, I don't see any valid reason to remove such review. Indeed, we have intentionally mentioned that reviews posted with the sole purpose of getting certain incentive/s shall not be tolerated for the obvious reasons. That is why I will personally review all recent Universal Slots Casino reviews and make sure to remove each comment which could be considered as an incentivized one and doesn't really bring any useful info to other players.

Just a quick update...

Out of 95 reviews posted so far on September 14th and 15th I left only 7 due to blatant violations of the AskGamblers Posting Guidelines.

Will continue with the checking tomorrow and let me assure you there won't be any compromises.

Thats what I thought, which is why I felt I want to mention it here.

Usually our team will review and remove all these comments within 24 hours after being published, but since all of them were attending company meeting & team building in Malta there are some understandable delays in our daily operations. :)

Thanks for reporting!:good:

  • 2 weeks later...

Stealing them...

After:

" (01:43:05) Lieutenant Marilyn : I'm sorry we do not grant FS by votes sorry friend

" (01:46:06) Lieutenant Marilyn : It's a friend mistake we do not grant FS by votes "

Seems legit... nothing shady here..

just a friendly mistake..

Glad we cleared that up.

The extent to which my ethics could be compromised is directly attributable, not to some sort of socio-Kant esque musings, but is a lot more simple:

1. What’s the value of the spins,and;

2. What’s the wagering?

Ethics was part of my university dissertation many moons ago. Most of us are at the punishment/reward level of ethical reasoning - we do/don’t do things based on if we will be punished/rewards etc. The top level of autonomous ethics IIRC was the pinnacle - people who do, say what they want based on the own moral code or what they perceive as right or wrong. Frequently these individuals suffer by society as they often act against social norms.

Something like that. Quite interesting if I remember.

Not quite sure you'll get the proper recognition for the above words :p, but a great post nonetheless! :good:
