Curacao licence only, uk customer

Hi Hope someone can help.

I'm quite new to gambling, and think I may have made a mistake!.

I have signed up to a casino that only has a curacao licence withut knowing what any of it all really meant. Looking on here it says that it that they actually can't accept uk customers, am I right in thinking that if they don't have a UK Licence they shouldn't have allowed me to register?.

I am having a nightmare with their customer services. they have applied 2nd deposit bonus I never asked for, I contacted them to remove it and they refused as it's "automatic", even though I don't want it.  What is weird however is they have 1st, 2nd and 3rd deposit bonus, but they haven't given me the 1st or 3nd, or any of the spins they advertise with all 3.

I have tried asking several questions to live chat, and they either tell me they aren't allowed to answer (?!!!) or  log out in the middle of a conversation if I have asked a question they don't like.

I've tried sending several emails, but no response to any!

This has obviously taught me a lesson, but I need to know where I stand really. Can I complain to the UK commission if they aren't licensed here, or can I get my money back through my bank?

The UKGC won’t do anything - they seemingly don’t care. Or can’t be bothered. Even if they did, it’s doubtful they’d have have power to do so anyway. Only possibility is if they’d assets in the UK or operated from here, there may be some recourse for you (if the amount was high)

What casino was it?

There are many good casinos having Curacao licence and there are also many bad casinos too...but the one you are referring to certainly falls into the bad group! I have never had any of such ridiculous answers from any of my Curacao licenced casinos, so may I know which casino it is please?

Some deposit bonuses are indeed automatically credited in with a deposit, unless you ticked the 'I don't want any bonus' option BEFORE making your deposit. Nonetheless, even automatic bonuses are removable by them, provided you haven't made any bets as yet. Refusal to remove unwanted bonuses when requested by a customer, in my opinion, is breaching their own terms!

I'm not sure about the casino accepting UK players though...so maybe someone else can help you out on this.

In terms of your other question - yeah, you can charge back your deposits via your bank. You can, or moreover your bank, will decide if you've been mis-sold/didn't receive a service. Were they denying you a withdrawal I'd be inclined to say yes do it but for a few spins etc, maybe not.

Personally I'd chalk it up to experience and do a bit of casino research before you next play and let it pass.

There are plenty of top notch casinos for UK players (trada/videoslots/slotsmillion etc etc) so no excuse for going to a two bit one  ;)

If you are from UK, best to find UK licensed casinos to make sure you're safe because if otherwise you'd have a hard time getting your money when something went south. There are plenty good casinos that accept UK players.

Have you asked for your deposits back since they don't have a UK license? If you attempted to withdraw then I doubt they'd pay anyway and they'd tell you they don't accept UK players

If you want to name the casino we can offer you our complaints service if we have it in our directory.

This probably gives a good indicator how much they value the laws of the lands so, unless it was a glitch in the matrix, the chances of them doing this are nada.

Probably a Gale Martin clip joint.

Whilst we're on this subject I had this chat before I went on holidays and forgot to share it - another fine example of how a casino shouldn't behave. And am I right or wrong in thinking this casino should not be accepting UK players? They had a Curacao license only but here's how the chat went....

Josh

for UK based clients it's from 3-5 working days

Josh

Visitor

So you do accept UK players?

Josh

Visitor

Depends of the region? What, so London's fine but the Northerners aren't? ;)

Maybe the UK needs to get in touch with their Chinese counterparts regarding the interweb  B)

I actually can't even remember what casino it was now I just copied the chat transcript, then forgot to post it that night now I can't remember.
