What features would you like to have in a casino?

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am new to this forum and I hope I will spend a lot of time here :). Basically I am collecting some data and would like to get some feedback from Gamblers.

As you are aware, there are tons of Online Casinos out there. Most of them have the same games, same functions etc.

  1. As a gambler, what new features / functionality would you like to see in a casino?
  2. Is there something which really bothers you in an online casino?
  3. If someone had to ask you that you can choose something innovative in a casino built for you, what would it be?

I would really appreciate if some of you can answer these questions. I really appreciate your help.

Thanks and br,

Rene

Too many things that bother me about casinos.

Pending Periods - though i don't play at places with massive PP's, there is no need for them. They serve one purpose - reversing withdrawals.

Lack of 'flushing' - add the lock withdrawal function if you insist on a PP.

What bothers me in Casinoland is the continued issue with SE's - are you telling me that casinos, with all the money they invest in anti fraud controls, cannot identify players who are SE from another casino on the same licence until withdrawal stage? No.

Not sure if gamblers want to see anything innovative. Gamblers are simple souls - all they want is a hassle free experience, from putting the money in til taking it out. Bells and whistles aren't really that important. Whats important is hassle free withdrawals, slick games, decent chat support when thing go wrong and, if need be, a few bonus/spin perks along the way.

IMO where casinos have completely trailed off is on loyalty schemes. Certainly here in the UK there are few excellent ones.

One thing has been improved in the UK - per the new rules/regulations or whatever, casinos are now having to give you a breakdown of RTP per site, per game, net deposits and the like.

Thanks a lot for your feedback  pinnit2015! What makes you on one casino and not another especially when they have the same games?

Good question as i always play a game on one site and then go ‘I’ll now play it on another site’... it

It’s probably psychological. If iv had a big win on a game on one site I’ll always favour that site. Because in my head iv seen it pay. There’s always that feeling that you believe a game play better on one site than another...

But in the main it’s the loyalty scheme that’s the difference. If I know I’m getting points or rewards on a site, I’ll play it there. If I know that the casino may fire me a free chip if I do bad, I’ll play it there.

Also some sites are a lot slicker than others, the games faster etc. So a combo between rewards and thinking ‘ bonanza plays better in this site’

Is there something which really bothers you in an online casino?

If someone had to ask you that you can choose something innovative in a casino built for you, what would it be?

Meant to add... I’d a casino was built specifically for me it would be impossible to lose. :-) but just me... the rest of you would have to lose to find my playboy lifestyle. So, thanks :-)

Also like to add is casinos sometimes misinterpretation of things like statement of wealth checks. Confusing RG with money laundering and the stupid requests being asked of people now. I envisage it getting worse and if so, I envisage me quitting and opting for blackjack at the brick and mortar establishments.

Base "bonus abuse" rules on a useful ratio. like  recent bonus money withdrawn : recent real money deposits

I use my Wild Tornado bonuses just for examples sake, it's the same at most casinos I frequent.. Note I did not filter by "Lost" this is simply my recent history. Note the playthrough percentage achieved.

"

VIP FS Win Lost 0.88 CAD 1.19 / 35.20 (3 %)

LCB SHOP FS Lost 1.86 CAD 4.08 / 18.60 (21 %)

25 Free Spins Alkemor's Tower Win Lost 4.13 CAD 5.78 / 206.50 (2 %)

Lucky Hours FS Lost 1.80 CAD 2.61 / 72.00 (3 %)

100 Free Spins After Night Falls Win Lost 39.30 CAD 64.50 / 1572.00 (4 %)

VIP FS Win Lost 2.85 CAD 5.05 / 114.00 (4 %)

100 Free Spins Promotion After Night Falls Win Lost 46.84 CAD 329.40 / 1873.60 (17 %)

Level 2 fs Lost 1.72 CAD 2.55 / 86.00 (2 %)

Sunday Free Spins Win Lost 5.01 CAD 7.14 / 250.50 (2 %)

"

etc etc etc

So I ask you.. What did the casino lose here? Would it be worth losing a frequent player if this example happened to put me to 60% bonuses given : 40% Deposits? (related.. it doesn't.. merely an example)

If tossing freebies at a depositing player keeps them happy and their stats look like mine..

Give them 10 sets a day if it keeps them coming back and making their deposits with you..

Personal pet peeve "Sorry, you've had too many freebies compared to your deposits lately" or "you just had a withdrawal.. so wait until a few more deposits" when my depositing : Withdrawls ratio is 80% : 20% in the Casino's favour or ***** sometimes 6000% : 20%...

Even if I did actually win... you want me to come and spend it back right?? Sorry.. I just took the free spins offered to me by the casino I'm not currently at a win surplus at..

Sorry.. got off on a rant there, but most casinos I enjoy have the silly ratio in their TOS and I think it's ridiculous to worry about being punished for losing on too many freebies (and deposits..)

Other things I want to see?

Lets not worry about reinventing the wheel.. let;s just take the parts that we know work and keep me chugging on down the happy highway..

SUPER FAST WITHDRAWALS 24/7/365

Withdrawal lock is nice.. but how about just programming fast withdrawals for qualified players who meet certain criteria?

i.e Verified, verified payment source, withdrawal is less than deposit history, under X amount of dollars, doesn't violate playthrough BAM there's your money...

Back to back withdrawals without any play?.. Larger than deposit history? Triggers some type of warning?

give us 15 minutes to have a staff member just double check that.... TADA

You get mine right away.. that's how the wallets work.. why do you need 24-48hrs to push the same button I did?

Reasonable bonus terms,

You catch more flies with honey as they say.. you're supposed to be establishing a mutual trust that can be built on and mutually beneficial, stop trying to rob me at every turn with ludicrous conditions that only serve to further increase the house edge or decrease the chances I manage to withdraw a legitimate win. I'll come back.. I promise..

Multiple payment options,

Friendly, welcoming helpful live chat personnel

who are actually capable of providing the SUPPORT they're supposed to be there for.

Hourly Casino races (or BiHourly.. Or 15minutely)

LOVE THEM.. Just sayin..

GREAT Weekly and Random promotions

Getting the player there is only the beginning.. what have you got to encourage them to stay.. and return tomorrow?

Treat players as valued friends instead of a disposable commodity,

Even the best sites, that truly set the bar on how to do some or (be-still my heart) MOST of the above with finesse

are still offering almost the exact same menu options as their equally commendable competition.. so they are separated only by how valued the player feels when playing there and their affinity or disdain for the site, the staff and the management..

Land based casinos can get a player drunk so you look pretty as they throw their money at you..

you unfortunately need a personality...

Oh.. and LRN2SOCIALMEDIA

For an industry that draws it's lifeblood from people who are willing to sit online for hours on end scrolling and clicking, the majority of the Sites have terrible social media presence..and I assume conversion rate because of it... and these are people who if you can draw them in and make them happy already have a built in, established network of people to recommend you to..(refer a friend bonus extraordinaire?)

whew..

Turns out after my reasonably in depth exploration of what's currently on offer.. I've become a little opinionated.. Or perhaps just largely disenchanted with the majority and suffer Goldilocks syndrome.. unable to find the one that's "just right..."

Hope this has been helpful.

Now give me some free spins *winks*

I read, from a casino rep, that offering bonus’s particularly welcome, put the casino at a loss and attracts fraud rings...

Personally I think that’s a load of nonsense - really? With. 50 percent bonus and x48 wagering? What kind of reputable fraudster would want to go for that.

Love to see some figures from a casino regarding bonus use.

I don't doubt that with actual bonus abusers, fraud rings, and generally bad bad people that is indeed an issue for the Casinos.. really for any business operating in today's day and age.

I completely agree that they need to be actively identifying and weeding out those who are of that ilk, but treating everyone who walks through the virtual door with distrust and contempt may keep the bad bad men away.. but it will completely alienate the legitimate player who is the source of their future growth and success.. sure.. you can burn your house down to deal with a spider.. but it's probably better to just squash the spider..

This of course doesn't address the other side of the coin.. that in many existing TOS agreements the vaguely defined "bonus abuse" is also a handy tool for the less than admirable operators who will allow just about anything while the player is losing then strictly enforce subsection d, paragraph 34 when the same player manages a run of good luck.

As an "average" guy, I have absolutely not bothered to deposit at places that treat me like a beggar sniffing around for a chunk of bread over bonuses and also deposited in places I wasn't initially sure about because of the friendly manner and generous nature of the staff. I've stopped depositing at places I deposited for years when I felt ignored or underappreciated and deposited again and again places I never once won and withdrew just because I liked the freebies and friendly staff.. I don't imagine I'm alone in this regard with the literal plethora of sites popping up competing for the same customer base.

There’s the crux - the way bonus offerings are going, I don’t think you’ll see as much opportunity for ‘jumping’ between casinos. How many white labels are on the go? All offering the same. I used to take more SUBs but now I can’t really be bothered.

Personally I think you’ll see casinos skimming down on bonus offers and maybe going down the loyalty reward scheme for retained players. Fact is casino bonus hunters aren’t that lucrative for them. One deposit, no luck, no return.

On a side note - the whole ‘play your deposit through once’ is going to possibly disappear in the UK. Don’t get too excited - it’ll now be a 5% charge. What that tells me is that the whole x1 playthrough isn’t necessarily all to do with AML :-)

Hopefully the GC will look into ts and cs more and more rather than telling me I can’t quickspin, I can’t deposit via credit card or a can’t spin more than 100 times

More loyalty and less bonus would work just fine for me, just please... base it on deposits and attendance instead of playthrough..

Aside from the occasional brief run of luck I don't benefit much from any of it except the extra bit of playtime I get from the free spins and the optimistic belief that MAYBE this will be the freebie I actually profit from.

I seldom to never clear wagering requirements, prefer not to take match bonuses and my deposits seldom reflect more than 2-5times their value in wagering..

It's not my use of bonuses that should be feared, they don't help me win..

it's my stubborn persistence when I get into a grudge match with a particular slot and just hit it over and over and over harder and harder (without any bonuses to hold me back or tie me down) until it finally breaks down and pays me everything I gave it and a good chunk of what it took from everyone else lately too..

sure.. it's not always successful.. but it sure is a good time ;-)
