CasinoPlex Closes Shop!

Recommended Posts

I have just received a notification yesterday, that as of 1st March 2018, Casino Plex, a dedicated Playtech casino, has closed shop and has terminated all its services, and existing customers can no longer log into their accounts.

Well, I was enjoying their nice deposit bonuses up to last month...like a wonderful $50 bonus for just a $10 deposit...and I had no indication at all that everything would come to an abrupt end soon enough!  :(

I shouldn't really be surprised at all, considering how Playtech games have been playing and paying nowadays...especially how my few favourites games had 'turned around' and become horribly paying games, totally unlike before! All my once favourites, like Dolphin Reef, Safari Heat, Mr Cashback, and a few more, have become 'strangers' to this 'Master' of Playtech games! Nope...that's not a punchline nor a pun...that's just the honest truth!  :p

Anyway, if anyone were to ask me, I dare say that all dedicated Playtech casinos would be facing trouble times ahead...and one by one would slowly and gradually disappear into oblivion! The strong ones may come back with a multiplatform alternative...the weaker ones...well, it would be either sink or swim for them!

Would Playtech revert back to their original form? Would NetEnt, Microgaming, or any other provider do likewise? Very unlikely!  :p

It's a fierce battle out there in this iGaming world...

It has been years since I played Playtech games, I love the superheroes themed games such as Iron Man series and Hulk (smaaaaashhhh). Since The Netherlands is resticted to all Playtech casinos I kinda lost interest, thou they are avaliable at some casinos, still they just are not interesting anymore.

Those Marvel Super Heroes games have no match at all...not even by the replacing Age Of The Gods series!

Even though they are designed on the original basic game concepts, they don't play as interestingly as the Super Heroes games. Maybe we are all very much linked to those Super Heroes that no other replacements would ever do. Heck, if someone else acts as Ironman, not Robert Downey Jr, I don't think I would like it or accept it either! Hahaha.  :p

Thanks for sharing, Afi. :good:

Sad news indeed. Not surprising though since it's no secret to anyone dealing with gambling over the last decade that single-platform operators are slowly but surely losing the battle against multi-platform ones. This is how it goes and won't be surprised at all if we step into the new decade without any SP operator... :(

You're welcome mate.  :hi:

Asian casinos are one example of the changing times! They used to be playtech games only casinos...but nowadays, they have games from Japanese, Korean and whatnot other game providers that I haven't even heard of before! Hahaha.

How I wish they could provide licensed games from NetEnt, Microgaming, Play'nGo, etc...then I may not even need to play at European casinos...nor would I ever need to use Neteller or Skrill again! Oh yeah...and never be bothered with any KYC procedures either!!!  :p

The only single provider i really play with is Bellfruit for a bash at the Novo's. Though i've just seen they themselves are being re-branded/taken over or whatever.

The market must eventually reach saturation point - the number of white label products is astonishing. Nektan have about 250, Progress Play have a huge amount as well.

With CasinoPlex now gone, I'm left with only 5 Playtech casinos that I can play at, all downloaded versions.

For Microgaming, I only have one - Nostalgia. That came by chance - after taking up their recent $1 for $20 offer, they then offered me a download version, which isn't available from their online website. The only setback is, no more fun mode - only real play is now allowed!  :(

This is another forthcoming disaster that is also currently being enforced onto online casinos. Soon, no more fun play anywhere! Damn!

Hmm, have I missed something? :o

Maybe...maybe not...  :p

I was referring to the fact that casinos are now slowly removing the 'Play For Fun' option...so no more fun play in the future...so more wasting of real cash in trying out new games...and so on.

Some casinos have already begun this removal, and downloaded Microgaming casinos no longer provide the fun mode option!  :p

Weird stuff! :o

In fact, the newest gambling provisions say nothing about the existence of the Fun Mode except it should be available for registered players only. Which means that in order to be able to play in fun mode you must register first... Which in my humble opinion is a complete joke and have absolutely nothing with the declared 'improved actions' against problem gambling...

The only reasonable explanation could be that some operators might have read it as a green light to remove practice/fun mode completely... Which is again a complete joke. :(

Yep, agree mate.

Perhaps typical of 'cheap' casinos, I would say...taking advantage of any 'ambiguous' term in the regulations, for their benefits, and trying to get in as much revenue as possible, totally disregarding players concerns.  :(

A player's right to try out any game in the fun mode should never be removed!  <_<

I personally don’t use fun mode but can see why some may use it.

There was a provider who were found to have their RTP settings at something like 1675% for fun mode for their games, however. People were wondering why the game didn’t play as well in real money ;-)

I’m waiting on credit checks being implemented in the UK as part of responsible gambling. Good luck with that.

If they implement credit checks here I'd imagine it to dramatically reduce the UK gambling market ;)

  • 5 months later...

It’s sad to know. I understand that Playtech was cool a few years ago but now it’s not as good as main rivals like NetEnt or Microgaming or even smaller providers. But anyway it’s always sad when good soft company or casino goes bankrupt. Anybody have ideas on reliable gambling sites which has the lowest chances to survive?
