Can anyone suggest a casino which supports "pay by phone" (where you are billed to your mobile phone bill?) I tried 4 casinos which askgamblers said supports pay by phone but when i login there is no such option

Firstly, welcome to Askgamblers forum Akula.  :hi:

Well, I'm wondering why you are interested to play at casinos by depositing via your phone bill - it cost 30% extra for each and every deposit that you make, it would add up to a hefty amount if used frequently, and would even give you problems later on with your phone bills!

It is never a good choice to pay by phone, so perhaps you should consider some other available depositing methods instead.  ;)

I’d imagine most want to pay by phone because of the advancement of funds - credit.

Or maybe I’m just a cynical old codger.

Either way, can imagine it being banned in the future given the War on responsible gaming.

Call, pay and throw away the phone.

Or...take it out in someone else name and hope they think it was international calls....

NO - Don't do that!

You may go to the Big House but, more importantly, you'll not receive the winnings  :p

Wonder how Valdes would view such a complaint? Very sympathetically i'd imagine.

There is absolutely no advantage at all for depositing via the phone!

If taking credit is the main reason, then use a credit card - its 10x cheaper!

Where withdrawals are concerned, payments can be received within minutes or hours - with a phone, it will take at least 30 days!

So why in the world would anyone would want to deposit via a phone? Unless they don't know the difference of course.  :p

It's a ridiculous payment method and imo prays too much on the vunerlable why on earth it was ever created is beyond me and it shocks me even more that the UKGC allows it.

Well, there is an 'advantage' of depositing via phone on some sites....it gets added to your bill if you pay monthly.....which may suit some players who have bust their monthly budget and have nay cash available.

Plus, maybe the person is out of available credit on the credit card or no funds in their bank or maybe their credit rating is shot (credit ratings don't exist really) and they can't get credit and they're a degenerate gambler.

Basically you get access to casino funds that you maybe don't have - so in that sense it's an advantage to the player as they can now play with cash they don't have and it bypasses the need for credit checks etc

Which is nuts.

Some sites may only allow this if pay as you go and you have the credit there...some offer the pay monthly bill option

There must be some cap on it being added to your phone bill. I've never done it so I don't know.

Pinnit I agree with most of your posts but not this one!! :D :p

That is not an advantage - I mean of course it's an advantage to the player at the time who doesn't have fun but in reality it is not an advantage. It is potentially just leading that player into even more trouble. If they don't have the funds to make an actualy deposit or even more worringly have any limit left on their credit card and is referring to this method of depositing then it's certainly not an advantage.

Chances are the bill won't get paid, so if they win they don't get their winnings anyway.

And I'm not entirely sure that the option is available on PAYG actually???

Well mate, that was what I was thinking why the original poster Akula wanted to pay via his phone bill, but saying so would do injustice to the poster if that turned out to be a wrong assumption, hehehe.

Anyway, Akula hasn't come back here to give us his comments and views...but never mind.  :p

Err...no one said advantage to who(m)  ;)  I'm not agreeing that it's a good idea - actually it's a terrible thing. But, from a players point a view, the advancement of funds via this method can be advantageous to that person. Of that, i don't see how it can't be - that's why many may choose to use that method - when they're skint and they shouldn't really be gambling.

Person no money - problem gambler, no cash - this method gives them that. So, from their perspective that's advantageous.

Merely trying to show why some are drawn to that method. Because of the above.

Hi all thanks for the responses. I don't have a credit card so I was looking for this as an alternate option.

I guess no casinos exist with this option then?

nooooo....merely stating why some people would find it 'beneficial' (funds that otherwise don't exisit)

I can imagine someone having a 20k pending withdrawal but needing to find 10k to pay the phone bill  ^_^

If the UKGC are thinking of banning credit cards (which i don't agree with) then i'd have thought this should have been their first port of call before that.

As for the OP - there are places (hence the discussion here) - BOKU is a method, Pocket Vegas do it. Disclaimer - no responsibility for phone bills that resemble ringing some iffy premium rate phone lines.

Hi and Welcome to Askgamblers

Pay by phone option is available at some casinos and the fact that Askgamblers say they support that method is entirely true.

The reason you do not see the option at the casino is because you country is restricted from using that method, unless you live in the UK?

As far as I know only UK member can use that pay by phone or BOKU as they call it.

I mean Boss casino have paypal as payment method, but that is only for UK member, any other country cannot use that method, so in essence Askgamblers information is correct or at least 99% of the time, it's where your from that determines deposits methods or withdrawal methods or bonuses or whatever the case is.

Hope that explains it.

However I used to load prepaid airtime and buy them with my phone, never with my contract.

Ecopayz yes but still need credit card to fund unless bank transfer which takes 3 - 5 days to reflect. Also Ecopayz is limited by casinos depending on your country.

Paysafe might be an option.

@Akula133 - Where are you from? Lets get that first then we know what options are available for you...

Entropay seems to work pretty well.
