Greetings from Malaysia. I am quite new to online casino and only started playing sometime in September last year. I began to play quite regularly in January after I had my first big win with a Netent jackpot slot which led to other big wins subsequently. They were from the same slot but under different casinos. This added to the Pros on having multiple online casino accounts and in Malaysia, Welcome Bonus can be as high as 100% which require higher roll over requirement making welcome bonus less appealing. Hence, people like me isn’t up for any bonuses when signing up for a new account. Very recently, I also notice how the minimum bet is set differently dfrom one casino to the other cssino. Which lead to my question;-

 

1. Does gaming software developer allows operator to have access to control these games in term of the difficulties level of the slot, the number of winnings a player can enjoy, etc etc?

 

2. Would there be pirated slots software in the market? If fake DVDs are in abundance here, just like how easily pirated microsoft office can be downloaded online. would something like that happen in thsi industry as well?

 

3. Out of curiousity, since casino is able to determine the number of accounts were opened based on identical IP addresses, whatabout those friends who dropped by to our place and set up an account while they are connected to our WiFi...?

First of all, I think many of us had the same question but maybe you're aware of RTP (return to player) and RNG (random number generator) which aswered your first question.

Pirated games? Unfortunately yes there are such things and they will keep existing.

Signing in multiple accounts at one IP address shouldn't be a problem but signing up is a different story. You might have some withdrawal issues here.

Q1: Nope! Casinos can only offer the games to their customers and are not allowed to meddle with the games. Only the game provider / game developer have that kind of capabilities. All games have a predetermined RTP, approved and regulated by the relevant Licensing Authority. Once a game has been released to the public for playing, the RTP cannot be changed without prior approval. 'Upgrading' of games need to be approved too. However, a casino can restrict any player from winning too much at their casino, either by banning all bonuses to the player, or banning the player! Hehehe.

 

Q2: Yes, there are fake games around, but these are only found at rogue casinos! 

 

Q3: Friends who opened their accounts using your IP address would be considered as 'family' or being in the same house as you. Opening accounts may not pose any problems to your friend, but if you and your friend make a withdrawal at the same casino, the casino would detect the duplicated accounts (same IP address) and your winnings could be confiscated and your accounts be closed!

You forget a detail of key importance... The part with logging into someone's WiFi network would require to know password. And I guess you don't share your local WiFi network password with anyone visiting your home, right.

Not with a random stranger walking off the street but i don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that, should a pal ask for your wifi when round for beers, you'd give it to them?   I know the GDPR is round the corner but common....

 

Maybe we should make a checklist upon said disclosure naming casinos you're part of and links to the UKGC for sister sites
