Mc bookie holding my winnings

Hi all I'm new to here but was looking on getting some advice on what has recently happend to me while playing at mc bookie.

I was lucky enough to make win £700 at mc bookie as soon as I made my withdrawel request I noticed my balance had vanished. When I spoke to one of there advisors he told me my winnings where void due to my having a 6month cool of period at there sister site betvictor back in January 2016 I told him that the 6month period had expired as it is now 2years later but he replied with because you didn't contact betvictor to reopen your account I have breached there terms.

Have I got a case here any advice or feedback would be great

Oh gees...your case is one more of so many! Many players have been caught out by that self-exclusion clause and lost their winnings! Anyway, as far as I know, if you had requested for a cooling off period, which is also a self-exclusion, then you need to write in to the casino to have your account reactivated again...similarly if you had requested your account to be closed.

 

Since you did not write to them requesting a cancellation of that cooling off period, then the casino may have the right to deny your winnings. However, I cannot be 100% sure of this. Maybe somebody else knows better...

Just be careful with this area - some casinos offer the TAB (take a break) option. Which isn't a self-exclusion. 6 months would indicate that it is a SE. 

 

Though i've heard some casinos are being a bit fast and loose and tagging a TAB as a SE. So be careful if for example they have a 5 day pending period and you TAB for a week to resist the urge with reverse. 

 

Yeah, though you SE for 6 months it only expires when you request it to be opened - i know...6 months isn't 6 months then.

I'm afraid you should do your due diligence and double check if the provided explanation on behalf your bookie corresponds with the current UKGC legislation when it comes to Responsible Gambling procedures and policies. I have had an email from mc bookie today they have told me I have breached there terms and all transactions void.

They also told me they did email me back in 2016 to tell me about my account closure and what to do if I choose to reopen my account. The thing is I never received that email and they have said the email was delivered back to themselves.

All I got from the email was just the same as when I spoke to them on line chat just growing there terms at me. They also let me deposit twice onto the site with no problem only when I made a withdrawal they shut it down. Fingers crossed I could have a case bit I’m not holding my breath.

On online chat the bloke told me I would receive my deposits back but on the email today I was told all my transactions have been made void so not to sure what is happening I guess this will be a harse learning curve just not sure if to take it further or am I just wasting my time

Hi thanks for reply he didn’t on live chat but today I have a email from mc bookie saying I will be receiving my deposits back in 10 working days as the have reversed the transactions with my bank I will let you no IF I receive them back

You should do, if not they've breached licensing.
