    Lord of the Rings slot machine?

    Hi guys, does anyone here remember the Lord of the Rings slot machine from Microgaming? I played it a couple times several years ago when I was fresh 18 because I was such a fan of the franchise and I realized it's nowhere to be found now. I know there are at least two different types of physical LOTR slot machine in Las Vegas because of many youtube videos but no online slot machine. I reallly, really liked that online slot and I really hope someone will bring it back because I didn't play an online slot that would really get me since then. I mean it was a typical microgaming slot but I just loved the theme. Thanks!

    Yes I also hope for that time they will bring it back. Perhaps it not yet available maybe you can choose another slot theme from Mircograming games. I know that you're a fan of LOTR but I will say that Microgaming have different great slots and they're best paying slot of microgaming like Immortal Romance, Thunderstruck 1&2 and Jurassic Park. 

    I don't know if they will plan to bring it back soon because I don't have any news about LOTR slot. Let us be positive that one day we will see it again rolling in our desktop casinos.

    Yeah Immortal Romance or Thunderstruck are classics now... I played those a lot and had some nice wins but got bored over time. Microgaming games are all the same, that old, laggy flash player engine that will probably never get replaced with HTML5. Im at a point when I dont really play in online casinos much, maybe once every three months. I quite liked Poltava from ELK but its not addictive enough and some games from NetEnt like Warlords but I hate that most wins are smaller than the actual bet. So I just go to physical casinos where they have some spectacular games. But if someone did a good higher volatility LOTR online slot with nice visuals and good features, Id totally be up for it and play it just for the theme, not even for the wins so if anyone makins slot games reads this please do one! :D

    LOTR will never come back. I hunted for the reason why it was removed but don't think I ever found out  :(

    Actually I think I have read that the Tolkien estate sued WB over providing Microgaming the license for the slot so they had to remove it. There are plenty of articles about it and even the original accusation in PDF simply to be found by google search. But if there are physical LOTR slot machines, there can be an electronic one, all that needs to be done is to negotiate it with the Tolkien people. Besides, they already have the slot done, all they need to do is one signature and to put it online!

    Yes I remember this game, I was a big fan but unfortunately due to licensing the game was killed off and replaced by The Dark Knight.

     

    Therefore, we wont be seeing this game anymore im afraid!

     

    It was a great game and a massive loss for us players. However when The Dark Knight came out I loved it at the time, had the progressive once too. It was a great game back then however as with most games it done its time with me and I very rarely play it now.

    If that is the case, the fans of LOTR slot will be disappointed. I hope that players of LOTR find happiness playing other slots of Microgaming.

    I do  :p Around the same time as LOTR I was able to find MG slots that i'll always love. I have loads of old MG games that I'll always play, ones that will never get old for me but I'm afraid the new MG games aren't for me at the moment.

     

    I sure hope they bring back their originality in the future though. It's funny though because I hate most of MG clones but how ironic is that my some of my favourite games from MG are clones - their 9-liners  ;)
