Validation too stringent?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Currently waiting for a withdrawal from Fable Casino and they have asked for my id, front and back of debit card, utility bill and bank statement showing my transactions with them and credit card number/my full name next to them.

I find this a bit much and on top of this failure to do so within 7 days means they will void winnings and cease deposits.

Exact text pertaining to bank statement is this: "Bank statement showing the transactions done to Olorra Management Ltd by your card, showing the Credit Card Number date and your full name. Please kindly provide us with the bank statement you already have as we will be able to match the account number with the card you have already provided us."

Is it me or is this more about making withdrawal as hard as possible?

Thanks

Well, I have come across a lot of such instances whereby the casino would ask for additional documentation for verification purposes. Yes, some casinos are more stringent than others, but this is directly related to the Gambling Commission/Authorities that their licenses are attached to.

I've had a few casinos that couldn't approve my docs for verification purposes, simply because the docs couldn't meet the specific requirements set out by the Gambling Authorities. So I had to request for permanent closure of those newly registered accounts. No regrets in doing that, and the casinos willingly closed them for me.

Depositing and withdrawing via Credit Cards may be very stringent, for obvious reasons. E-wallets may not need such documents. I hardly ever need to submit them, except for the occasional screenshot of my Neteller account, when required to do so.

As for that 7-days rule, well, that is the standard casino rule and we just have to abide by them. If your docs cannot be verified, then your account cannot become active, and account closure then becomes necessary. No point in leaving it dormant like that if it cannot be used at all.

Since you have winnings to withdraw, you just have to comply mate. Good luck!  :hi:

I think if they are licensed by the same uk gambling regulator as every other casino then i see no reason why they require such level of detail. They need more info than passport control, it's crazy. What are they trying to verify exactly? I've also been telephone interviewed! There is no consistency to this, just make it up as they go along. What next, dental impressions? No way would i walk away from this without getting a regulator involved if they decide i cannot be verified.

Honestly speaking, Stockbet, my recent account closures due to unacceptable documents were all casinos with UKGC licenses! Apparently, UKGC has stricter requirements than the others, I don't know for sure, but if other casinos had already accepted my documents, I cannot see why UKGC, or any casino, cannot accept them, hence I closed those accounts. No big deal for me.

In your case, you have winnings to withdraw, that makes a big difference, otherwise I would just say close your account too. :p

It is also better to get any new casino account verified first before making any deposit, to avoid such future inconveniences.

It's worse because they threaten to take all deposits too.

"Please note that this verification procedure is deemed solely in protection of your funds and account. Required documentation will have to be provided within 7 days following the request of the Company; should the documentation not be provided within this timeframe, or false or misleading documentation if provided, then the Company may, at its sole discretion, terminate Your Account, confiscate all winnings and seize and void any and all Account balance."

Their withdrawal policy is very open ended as this is not a listed step.

They are basicially taking my money and making it very difficult for it to be returned, let alone my winnings.

Maybe if they are so concerned i'll get the police involved and they can verify everything.

Even more of a joke is this is a debit card and they show as "progressplay ltd" - so it's actually impossible to show the company they request.

I'll also be getting google involved as this was a referring ad.

Oh gees! I wish you all the best Stockbet.

Hopefully the casino will approve your docs and get your withdrawal processed. I'm not sure if Askgamblers Complains team can do anything about this, because it deals with documents verification, not denial of payment.  :(

In the interest of balance they have now verified my account and processed my withdrawal.

Congratulations sometimes we just need to wait patience is virtue. Meanwhile, I think is it better to wait for account validation than to restrict you playing from their casino and in my case U.S players were restricted to many excellent online casino.
