New Notifications!

Recommended Posts

Is it on my side or this is usually the case?

I usually have new notifications (red number on top of the "bell") and they will remain there, even after I've read them unless I "mark (them) as read". Sometimes they disappear but can't yet figure out what happens - or what do I do - before they disappear.

PS: Sorry for the excessive use of punctuation marks!

COOLivert...no big problems there man! ^_^

Somewhere in your profile, you have chosen to be notified for certain items, events or replies, or whatever.

If you go back to your profile, click on the 'Notifications', and undo all the ticks that you don't want. You may want to be notified only via emails and not instantly, or the other way around, or not at all. Pick your choices. ;)

Or, you can just click 'mark all as read' and no more red exclamation mark, until new ones come in that is. :D

I like to be notified instantly of any forum replies and I'm subscribed to my favourite casinos  :D

Hi Coolivert,

You may find anything regarding how to manage your Notifications & Subscriptions on AskGamblers website in our Help Center. ;)

Thanks guys! I like the notifications and wasn't complaining about them or the type of notifications I get. My point was the fact that there are new notifications that are not new. For example when I sign in, let's say, I have 6 NN, I click on a couple and reply to the threads but I still have 6 remaining! Personally, I don't see this as a problem since there was already a solution as I said in the OP the "Mark as read" function does the job.

It's okay Coolivert we know you weren't complaining! My notifications are usually always 99+ as I always forget to Mark as Read

Same here, It seems like a bug. Will be great if Askgamblers dev/tech guys take a look at it.

Surely it is awesome to have notifications in realtime fasion, if they disappear when one want to.

What problems are you experiencing exactly?

Thank you for your quick respond.

I was building upon Coolivert post

Notification lights red, even after I read the post it remains red.

Say I have 3 notifications about posts, well, I read them, logout, login again and they still there in red.

Thank you ValDes.  I have optimal settings regarding Askgamblers including but limited to allowing notification, disabling add blockers and so on.

You are right about  browser delay  updating visited notifications, however this behavior can be controlled by site developers (cookies , sessions or so), otherwise the client solution to this will be clearing browser cache and cookies which may affect other sessions.

Thank you once again for your reply.
