Losing streak

Recommended Posts

Hi dear gamblers,

I would like to open a new topic about losing streak. Recently I played in one online casino( so far it doesn't matter which one) and I have to say that I've never seen anything like that. In addition I've lost more than 7000EUR in last two days, I'm disappointed in the sense that I didn't hit any major winnings. On the contrary, winnings 4 of the kinds were rare, usually were empty spins. I had a feeling that i can't hit anything. Of course, I insisted with faith things can turn around. To hit bonus game was mission impossible, even if I hit the reward was funny low compared to bet/spin( I've played between 5-15EUR/spin). How is this possible, is that even regular? I mean after all this spins and you can't hit something? I've reviewed the history of the transactions and the conclusion is disastrous, debits are almost 4 times higher than credits. I downloaded all history of transactions and I'd like to hear your opinion on all of this. I didn't contact Casino manager yet, I'm very disappointed with the way how I lost. Of course I'm aware of losing but not this way. Also if some one know how to read this history of transactions and can make some conclusion I can send it to him( PM me). There is also a question why the ***** casinos have big stakes?

Write your opinions please:)

That is some high deposits dude! Hope you played somewhere with a good loyalty scheme at least!! What slots were you playing? They are about patience and you need to respect them or they chew you up and spit you out. You can actually win pretty large sums on smaller bets than that even. I'd need to know what games you play to get an insight though.

This game and most novomatic are very very very high variance that's why you lost. Can you play net-ent where you live? Netent and mg are the 2 best providers in my opinion. Were you doing a bonus or just straight money? you'd have almost been better betting 1.80-2.70 on reel steal or doa with that much to play with clement. on 45c bets on doa I have seen win pics in excess of 3grand on Reel steal bets of 2.25 can return in excess of 7grand(in free spins)  ;) and then there is jack and the beanstalk which we are all loving right now. Somebody won $5,211 on 60p bet so you see maybe a change of vendors is in order ;)

Ooooh boooy! Losing 7000 Euros in just 2 days is a hefty sum of money to lose, Clement, regardless of whether one can afford it or not! With that much of money, playing Jack and the Beanstalk would certainly have given you a pretty good amount of big wins, that much I am certain! As for Novomatic games, I'm not knowledgeable enough on that software nor on its games, so I shall reserve my comments.

As Bigdk has suggested, you'd be better off playing with NetEnt, Microgaming or some other well established software. They give you lots of fun, entertainment, wins and losses too...can't run away from that...but on the whole, you'd be much more satisfied, even after losing a reasonable sum of money. Gamblers don't always win. If there are gamblers who say they never lose, then they're bluffing!

Also, some players like to start off with big bets, which can be very disastrous most of the time. Slot games rarely pay out big early, unless that particular game has been hungry all the while but turned full just before you played it...or you are just simply lucky to strike it big early into the game! Yes, that's always a possibility and has happened to many gamblers too. But are you going to be one of them? No one knows...so don't take unnecessary risks!  ;)

If you're still eager to play, I would advise you to drop Novomatic games for now and try out NetEnt games instead. You won't be losing 7000 Euros without getting something big back! Not a guarantee...but quite a certainty!  ^_^

I'm aware of Novomatic slots and I was many times in similar situation( ok not so big one) but I always somehow manage to get back at least some invested money. It never been so bad and idk what to do( was thinking to close account there). Is there anything I can do against casino( tbh I just can't believe losing streak can last so long)? I already said what I think about MG, but Net-Ent I like even though I don't play much. Maybe I will change my mind:)

I agree with everything Afi and don't want somebody understand me wrong. I want to share experience about losing streak, how you react after? Is it clever to continue or just forget money? Every experience is  welcome:)

People react differently to losing streaks, Clement. Some break their computers, some smash their iphones onto the wall or floor, me, I tore the skin off my knuckles when I smashed the glass screen with my fist...but that happened only once. At other times, I just swear and give 1-finger salutes to my laptop! Hahahaha. But whatever you do, don't jump out of the window! :D Suicidal gamblers tend to do that! Losing money isn't worth losing a life as well!  ;)

The best advice: if you can break and leave the gambling habit, do so, now, and quickly...before it becomes your skin and blood! By then, everything would be too late to change. If money is not a problem to you, what more can I say? It all depends on how you spend your money and how you lead your life. It may not be a problem now, but it definitely will be, sooner or later! If money is already a problem to you now, as it is with most of us here, then curbing the gambling habit is vital. Self control becomes vital. How you play and gamble becomes vital. You'd be walking the tight rope everyday for as long as you keep on gambling! And it ain't an easy life. It never will be!

Why am I still gambling? It's already in my skin and blood!  :( That tells you everything you need to know about my gambling habit! Not a pretty picture...but it's the whole truth I'm afraid.  :sorry:

I'm off to bed now everyone! Still early for me, but I'm on the road again in a few hours time...so I need my beauty sleep? Nah...my not-sleepy-while-driving sleep, hehehe.

Have fun...be back in about 2 days...as usual. This isn't about a losing streak...it's about losing sleep, hehehe.  ^_^

I like this slot but it can be very dangerous to push it too hard especially with huge bets.It is best to set limit to 50 spins if nothing good comes out of it just leave because it will skin you alive.I saw people loosing thousands of euros in land casinos without any return on this game, and also winning thousands euros with ten euros investment. It is just how gambling works and yes sometimes it is brutal on all of us   ;)

1. Lucky Lady's Charm is a high variance slot game, which basically means that it could easily 'eat you alive' in no time, especially with bets like yours! The same goes in the opposite direction, as hitting good winning combination from a 15 euro bet per spin could easily result in 5-figure win. ;)

2. Novomatic is a decent gambling software vendor without any doubt, with an impeccable history and as such, it is reliable and trustworthy.

3. You have the right to get a complete game log of your playing sessions and also to know your personal RTP from that sessions.

4. In your place, I would contact casino manager asap and request some sort of a cashback or something of the kind. A 7000 euro loss is not that often for a land based casino, let alone an online one, so you have some serious chances to get some decent amount of your losses back.

5. At no cost do not try to chase your losses! If you do it, it will most probably be your 'road to *****'. I know it's a hard task to 'swallow' a 4-figure loss, but better 7000 instead of 17 000, right?!

In addition to all the above, I would like to use a saying, often used by an old member of our forum (SlotoHolic, we missed you mate :(). He said that everything in gambling is a matter of self-discipline! ;)

By the way, I know it will not make you feel better, but mate... I'm 95% of my gambling time in a losing streak! Last time it lasted for more than 6 month! And then it all changed in a blink of an eye, regained all losses and even got a decent profit. Have that in mind when considering what to do from now on. :)

I've been thinking a lot about this step in order to quit with gambling and I have to admit it is not that easy. I feel that I have it in my blood already. I'm dealing with gambling for 15y, with short breaks in between. You know, time heals all wounds so after big loss and short break you win something and everything starts all over:). And yes, self-control is most important thing in gambling world…easy to say but in gambling world things are not the same. Why am I still gambling? Probably same answer. You can buy everything but you can't this feeling when you are winning in Casino:)

Ty for response Val. Gambling is about having a fun when playing, everybody know that losing streak will come and they are something everybody is going through. But playing and not winning anything that is the worst thing, especially when you have to deal with only empty spins. When I start to play I always said to myself Ok lets have a fun now and I'm not expecting major winnings. Of course I expect I will win something but I'm also aware of loses. Then after session 90% of us are down because we didn't hit or win at least something. And this isn't fun anymore:) so lets make another deposit, it will change. And so on…it is getting even worse( mostly). Then I feel like I was cheated.

Ty also for many suggestions, will try to remember them. I've never wrote to the casino manager before but I will do my best now and will try to compose something:). Might will work.
