I get a black screen...just as I would whenever I try to access casinos that are restricted to my countries. The odd thing is, it is NOT MY ISP that is blocking Askgamblers website, because I can still access other forum sites like LCB and Casinomeister, so this is really puzzling!

The last time I could get access was on July 7th, then everything went dead the next morning. I now need to use VPN to get to this forum site, which is a big nuisance for me, because my local casino site gets blocked off because the VPN is using a Los Angeles IP.

Switching the VPN on and off is a turn off, so I hope this issue could be resolved as soon as possible.

Oh dear! Did you say you have already reported this Afi?

Britain’s supermarkets are struggling to ensure adequate food supply after reports of panic hoarding due to what the British press calls “ping-demic” – a reference to being “pinged” by the NHS test-and-trace system.

We noted on Monday that ping-demic was likely to “lead to food shortages,” and that is precisely what is happening today.

The Independent reports UK’s largest supermarkets are experiencing shortages after the number of people getting “pinged” on the NHS Test and triggered mass confusion.

The NHS app sent a half-million alerts last week, notifying users they have to quarantine for ten days because of possible close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

This has caused a supply chain shock and disruptions as hundreds of thousands of people panic buy food and fuel to survive the quarantine.

British newspapers and social media users published pictures of empty supermarket shelves.

“We’re very concerned about the situation,” Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng told Sky News when asked about panic hoarding at supermarkets. “We’re monitoring the situation.”

Sainsbury’s, Britain’s second-largest supermarket group, warned about supply shortages:

Sainsbury's today - got everything, certainly not the 'selected' images like the Mail (and others)have pulled: ditto for Tesco's on the Friday.

S.bury's seem to have the least affected supply chain - they don't appear overly worried. Iceland's issue is workers.

Always dubious of these pictures being pulled - pre-covid that's what Asda looks like most Fridays, so, meh. No doubt there are regional variances for whatever reason - i highly doubt we'll see mass starvation, just temp reductions on products.

Anyone wanting home improvements atm forget it - the building trades supply chain is up the left in many areas: cement, timber all in short supply and when u can get it, coming in at x3 the normal prices. And those prices will likely not drop when the supply chain catches up (est 4 months)

Thanks Guru-san. Really strange why it's taking so long for this issue to be resolved...hope that will come very soon.

I'm experiencing a very slow forum today, is anyone else? Other sites seem fine, but navigating in here is very delayed. Sorry if eveyone else too, I'll report tomorrow if the issue persists.

I thought it was just me. Like in the beginning when you click on site it loads slow and then when its about to finish it stays on around 75% loading point and then the site glitches and then lands on page. This is what has been happening since yesterday.

Yesterday afternoon for me the forum was down as well. You know when that hat guy with spanner in hand shows up with site going through maintainance message. That appeared for 2 hours.

Yep, same here with me on my VPN...it's taking much longer to load a new page, or to go to the next topic.

Sorry Flatzem, completely missed this. Seen loads on Facebook, personally I’ve not seen any shortage of food at all on my area. Find it rather strange there’s even a shortage

Yes there were some known issues previously, I’m assuming it’s still ongoing. But will check for you guys tomorrow and will report back, unless Guru beats me to it.

The shortages are a little more nuanced that some of the media are portraying; mix of some Brexit, staff shortages via over zealous Covid apps but also things like IR35 which has affected drivers, plus a few other things

Either way, no one is for starving here (unless their parents have drunk their salaries)

Reactions of some people out and about are like we'll be chewing the leg off a cat in a few weeks; pretty laughable with the carefully selected photo's.  Heard someone say, no oranges! But there are apples and mango? Yes. Ok, cool.

Good stuff Afi, I am so happy to hear this. Much less hassle I'd imagine. I don't know if your VPN is the same but mine is limited on data which is a pain.

All free VPNs have a daily data limit. I used Hola before, without any daily restrictions, but now has one, so I changed over to IOBit's iTop VPN, which has a 700MB daily limit. Can't even watch a blocked movie in full. A nuisance indeed.
