Personally, the weekend has been bad. I didn't get the chance to play yet. ( Will start tomorrow) Our government here has been taking drugs apparently. The restrictions they put are from Out of this World🌍

Yeah I think our government is tripping half the time too 🙂

Would truly love to see one of our regulars bag the top prize this time.

Our government has applied a specific restriction. No citizen can get out of the municipality he lives in. That means that you cannot take your car and go to the supermarket, if it is under a different municipality.  Also, you are not allowed to drive around your municipality. You are allowed to walk around your block.  No matter the heavy bags from the market etc. you WALK. 3,4km. you name it. Now let me amaze you. There is only ONE way to drive from your place to another municipality. If you have an appointment to have a haircut or do your nails. Because government feels the pain of the people who want to cut their baldness a little more. Now, let me be more specific. If you get caught, we aint talking about a 100 euro fine. We are talking about the most expensive fine in Europe. 300 euros. (258 pounds) For shop owners etc. the fine is 5.000 euros. Oh yeah.  Today, a guy was sitting in his garden, police approached and gave him a 300 euro fine. Reason: He hadn't sent the sms, so he couldn't be out. His wife got fined as well, because she got of the house to check up on her husband with the cops. Monty python sketch

Our country's situation is so worse that the leader of our country is setting a bad example. He criticizes other people for stepping out and then himself goes to political rallys with 5000-6000 crowd. Its really bad that our prime minister is setting up such a bad example. Meanwhile the city where i live lockdowns are not strict like you guys have but I think in the next one week we might have. We reported 40000 case two days ago. First time such a big number in 3 months.

God bless everyone and stay safe all of you.

The post mortem in all this is going to be pretty shocking: Sure it was 'unprecedented' but that's why there's something called emergency planning - to plan for the unexpected/less likely - to be fair, i think a lot of other countries didn't fair much better.

Sending Covid-19 folk directly into Care Homes from hospitals - and then having the audacity to fine 2 people breaking COVID rules walking on a hill.

37 billion spent by the UK Govt on a track and trace system that didn't work - even though apple and google had one, made their own, and ballsed it up. 37 billion.

The contracts handed out by the Tory Party to their pals in the private sector - few brown envelopes changed hands then. Even the National Audit Office nearly called it for what it was - fraud.

That's even before the handling of dentists, routine appointments and preventative treatments just being blindly abandoned as we count the cost in the next few years.

There has been good ish things such as the furlough scheme but overall a lot of this was really badly handled and things like the contracts being fire out to mates in a golf club should have seen several of them charged and jailed - you've seen local council leaders being charged, yet not the senior civil servants?

We are currently on level 5 which is back to normal at the moment.

Cases are 500 - 700 a day on average.

The only thing that is strict is the drinking and driving is now set at ZERO %, so if you take medicine that contain alcohol and they catch you 5 minute later on the street and ask you to breathalyze you going to JAIL.

So that is the only restriction at the moment, apart from venues - restuarants/bars/clubs cannot take more than 50% of its  full capacity as well funerals not more than 50 people as well as weddings.

Oh gosh guys, I didn't mean to trigger such sad replies 😞

Let's play a game..well not a game, but let's raise some spirits. It's 2022, COVID is a thing of the past - tell me what things you are going to enjoy the most. I have many but I'll go first with one -

1. RESTAURANTS - Awww man I cannot wait to go to a restaurant. Each as much food as I can that I have not have to cook myself. BUT more importantly - where I do not have to clean the dishes after 🙂

Your Turn..

But the thing is apart from government being irresponsible in some cases people have also been at fault. Can you tell me one country where people have followed guidelines. Yesterday i saw that video of students partying in florida atleast 150 of them. I dont think we all have taken coronavirus seriously even after one year. People still refuse to wear a mask.  Apart from the government we have also failed.

Eat octopus, shrimps, mussels, flying squids, pandora, fried courgette with yoghurt, fried goat cheese with honey, trout, gold head bream, red mullet, cuttlefish and a specific sauce that's made out of the ink of it. I can go on and on.

Great idea, Sharon! :good:

Besides the non-restriction-applied-restaurants, I'd certainly enjoy schools going back to presence-mode instead of online one. At least 15-20% of the Bulgarian students were (and still are) left 'outside' the school with that online education for some reasons - lack of help, lack of devices or internet connection, lack of care on behalf their parents... Man, that's so sad and soooo harmful for the entire society.... :(

Yep, this sucks big time! Same here, kids missed the best part of a year in school, Ours are open now but the hours are different and so many restrictions, it's such a headache! I agree, normality in schools is something to look forward too!

Unfortunately the worries about 2 tier dental systems is becoming a reality round here - 6 monthly's are bye bye and you can't get appointments round here unless you're private.  Few are going to the wall as well - one of the most overlooked health professions about and unfortunately the NHS ones have been thrown to the wolves.

I sold my soul and went private as it was a work perk years ago that i still have, thankfully given the mess it is round here atm and it won't be back to normal,, i dont think, ever

Yeah, they're under severe pressure atm - not helped by the being treated pretty shoddily by the government - expect to see some going the wall in the next while and long waiting times for years to come probably. Really is pretty disgraceful.

Anyone who's had a bad tooth knows it's one of the worst pains about - i paid 400 quid call out one time, didn't care how much - i'd have paid 4k if needed to such was the agony

I don't get it. You guys there can't make an appointment with a non private dentist? Here, you can do it easily and never go as well if you don't want to. BUT! Don't expect pro work. If you bleed you bleed. You need what? Anesthesia? Hahahaha.  Every single citizen here makes an appointment with a private dentist, pays like 30-50 euros for a cleaning and that's it. Pro work at its finest.  You need root canal? You pay 100 euro and you get it done in no time.

NHS charges are like 11 quid a filling, private 80, root canal max 60 on nhs, private 250 etc.

The NHS ones, because they're under the health terms, had lots of restrictions placed on them during lockdown which meant they basically could only see 1/10th of their base but private were different and could do more treatments than the ones accepting NHS. Found that weird but anyway.

Suppose it depends where in the country you are but the waiting times here are pretty crazy.

Our NHS dentists aren't really like that - i was going to them for years and, bar one - she was a nutter - they've all been pretty excellent to be fair.

A lot round here see both NHS and private but many don't.

It's the doctors here in the NHS i've concerns about.

Well, the good news is.....I'm feeling a lot better!

Aaaaand, It's Monday! We're supposed to be getting some warm weather this week and I'm currently in the middle of doing our gadren so hopefully this weather will allow me to carry on.

Also, we celebrate Easter in the UK on Sunday, not something I get excited about but the kids do 🙂

So for this Monday's question I'm asking - Do you celebrate Easter?

(Also who's loving this new Monday feature thing? Humour me 🙂 )

Part of the 'perks' coming with the 'advanced capitalism' I guess... 🤑

Bulgaria, being a part of the Eastern Europe countries which took the path from 'advanced socialism' to 'advanced capitalism' over night some 30 years ago are now 'enjoying' the fruits of their choice and namely - a health system which is a real 'Frankenstein' and which means if you don't have the money to pay an extra for the 'services and treatment' you got you are dead, literally! Dental help as part of that horrifying health system is just as terrible as the so called pre-hospital and hospital treatment...😡

Well, it starting raining very early in the morning over at my place, but the sun is now quite mad for being clouded over upon its rising...so it is blasting its solar powers right now at me! 🤣

Hmm.. Well, Monday is just another for me for the last year.  Unfortunately, i can not go out and currently i'am waiting to get my diploma in order to begin (we have a big time bureaucracy around here) So all i do is staying in my house, sitting on a screen and trying to do couple of chores, because i hate sitting all day and doing absolutely nothing.(its a happy time everytime i find a reason to go out) The daily routine has become dull and honestly the government is doing eveything it can to make middle classes more poor. In order to get an allowance, you need to fullfill some out of this world terms and conditions. So pretty much i dont know if anyone is in a similar place or not. 😅

We do celebrate Easter around here, sinceits a  religious country. We break eggs, we have advent(usually old people do) and when the advent ends, we have a big old time feast. But everything will be once again restricted for example going to the church.  Personally, i love christmas.

p.s  I love getting up early. I cant sleep 8 hours.

Lawyer mate. Here, when you get your degree from the university, you need to spend 1 and a half years in a law firm (usually you are not getting paid. Not a single cent! And the chores the firm makes you do are ignominious.  Government loves us you see) and after the internship,  you study for the exams that every intern has to go through in order to get the diploma that allows you to practice law.  What about you?
