    10 hours without power? Oh boy, luckily no such load shedding in my country. A power breakdown would last a few hours at the most...longer than that and the Power Company would be in deep sheet! Hahaha.

    so I read that they started in 2007 and then it said " But just as load shedding was starting to fade from dinnertime conversations, it was catapulted back into national headlines. In 2012, Eskom announced that the likelihood of fresh power cuts was “very high“, and would likely remain as such until at least 2017."

    and then :Fast-forward to 2019, well outside all of the initial predictions, and the country once again sits in a dire situation when it comes to nationwide electrical supply.

    and now here we are in 2022 and they still happening over there in RSA..

    Poor management, incompetence, or corruption?

    Many blamed poor management and incompetence within the organisation, although recent revelations suggest that it was primarily due to corruption and a massive ‘get-rich scheme’.

    A private Power Company would usually have such things happening within the company and directors. The Power Company in Malaysia, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), is partly owned by the government, but that doesn't mean there's no corruption going on! 😜
