This thread is pure gold, i'm dying of laughter ;D. The one i heard some time ago was a guy screaming "DOOPEE" when he won

I watched a video on YouTueb yesterday the guy won 120K and I have no idea what he was screaming! It was in English but no idea what he was saying or what it meant!

Doopees is a name of a Japanese band, and the word doopee has become like a slang amongst many Japanese youngsters. The meaning is vague, but here's one definition of it...

Name of a Bear "animal", used as a pit name sometimes, and used for hug people other times, used to be a name of a Bear in some famous Zoo's
He's so hug like a bear, he's a real doopee.

Hi everybody! I'm a little new in gambling, but can add some words, that are useful in Poker, it's my favorite game for now.  ?

Bluff – To bluff means to take action, e.g. call or raise on a bad hand, with the intention of deceiving your opponents.

Call – You match the bet of the previous player. This action allows you to stay in the game without raising the bet.

Check – If no one has bet yet, you can check, i.e. you don’t bet for the time being but stay in the game.

Fold – To fold means to pass or, in other words, surrender your hand.

Raise – It means to bet a sum higher than the previous bet forcing the other players to match it.

Hi!

I have a little idea! :) Lets post here some words known only in gambling world, so we all can learn something from each others.

All you have to do is to write one or more words with short explanation beside ( you can write some of the synonyms also) :) Doesn't have to be some complicated word, but also something like playthrough, withdrawal etc.. or not so famous sort of games :D

(not the happiest explanation, but I hope you understand :D )

I'll start with a few :

Bust - used in Blackjack game, when you get over 21 and lose

Pass - To fold, not to bet

Full House - used in Poker like a name for a hand which includes one pair and three of a kind

Jackpot - used in Casino for big win on a Slot machine

Trips - used in Poker, for 3 cards of a kind

Wow, great idea!

For me, I would prefer a candlelight steak dinner instead! ?

You have a good taste. I'm hungry now and I think I even heard the smell of this dinner ?

As for the phrase it's just a quote from my favorite casino movie '21'. did you see it?

Can't really remember if I've seen that '21' movie...perhaps I have...but that quote didn't catch on to me...hehehe.

A chicken dinner ain't worth much is it?...compared to a steak dinner...so it should have been "winner, winner, steak dinner!" ?

I agree, we will change the quote to a more nourishing. ??
