Well - the bin at the lower part of slot machines that catches the coins as a gambler decided to cash out. More to come!

Hehe, so glad that someone found the time to dig across the forum and discover a great forum topic which has been forgotten... :good:

Formatted your post a bit so that it's eye-catchy for our readers, hope you don't mind. ;)

Hello All,

I am new to this forum and thought that I would contribute some terms by way of introduction.  These are slot terms that are archaic.

ARM - When slots had gears instead of circuitboards the play was activated by pulling down on a lever on the right side (from player's

view) of the machine.  At least the player got some exercise!

CHANGE BUCKET - Before bill acceptors and credit slips a slot player had to exchange currency for coins before playing.  Change

buckets were plastic pails with the casino logo that were used to carry the coins to the slot machine and (luck

permitting) your winnings to the coin booth to be exchanged back to currency.  They also made cheap (as in free)

                                  keepsakes of your casino visit.

I've never been to a land-based casino but I know exactly which ones you are referring to!

Thanks for your input and welcome to the forum.

Hi everybody! Very interesting topic, thanks for it :)

Can you please tell here more about your gambling slang worlds and phrases? For example:

- When you get a huge win after bonus mode (x100 stake, for example),

- When you play on slot with high volatility and unfortunately bust for 10 minutes,

English is not my native language, but I wery interested in such specifications. Cause on my language we have a big enouth slang worlds for all of gambling cases. It will be great for me to know english ones, too.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Here's my slang in those two situations:

1. Whoop Whoop

2. Couldn't possible repeat the slang I'd use for that situation here  :p
