Gonzo's Quest Megaways - What do you think?

Recommended Posts

Sooo..This time Red Tiger Gaming has taken NetEnt's old classic and turned into a Megaways - Gonzo's gone big!

You should all know by now that I have ALWAYS had a love hate relationship with this guy. It's produced some incredible wins for me over the years but boy can it drain your balance too!

What are we all thinking about the Megaways?

Watched a review of the game, really liked it. I just wouldn't be able to play it unless I got around to getting a new laptop/computer.  (The 20 line Gonzo runs just fine. (I still play this slot and out of the 23 features I had on it this year, the best was 279x, average is 61x. and takes on average 145 spins to trigger. Not had any retriggers and only 1 feature was the 20 spins type.)

some things I been reading about it, first of all, NetEnt owns Red Tiger and thus they released it under Red Tiger name.

The game is running in different RTP versions depending at where you play, there's 92.71%, 93%?, 94.76%, 95.77% could be higher at some other sites? so check the site you play at for what version they are using!

it's also been reported to crash often for some players.

Megaways will always make me walk THE OTHER WAY...back to the good old straight and direct way. I have tried out lots of such Megaways games, starting with Bonanza back then, and Bonanza killed my interest TOTALLY...and killing my interest in almost all the other similar games too.

I don't buy those 117,000-ways-to-win gimmick...the wins that I had gotten hardly ever go over 100 paylines. Only the very few lucky gamblers would win on megaways games. Millions others would lose and millions others would get suckered!

But of course, that's JUST ME AND MY THOUGHTS! 🤪

True, this "megaways" thingie is total scam. Played 243 crystal fruits and haven't got any winnings while turnovering around 100 bucks

I played Gonzo's Quest Megaways and I have to say it proceeded to gobble my bankroll IMMEDIATELY! I played this slot on two different casinos with exactly the same result. I got one 2x win and one 5x win, all the rest where dead spins and a few 0.10X wins. I played a total of 4 sessions, 2 at $1 and the other two at $0.60.

As I have stated before on threads, Red Tiger for me is one of the most horrendous with a serious predictability in game play and hopelessness knowing you haven't a chance to win. I try to stay clear from them but I do enjoy Megaways. I have had some success on their Piggy Riches Megaways but again, dead spins only after that.

What? Gonzo has gone even crazier? He must be hunting for that El Dorado treasure with a blindfold now! With his helmet covering his eyes was bad enough, but with a blindfold...OH MY GAAAWD! 🤪

Don't think I want to meet up with blindfolded Gonzo...I never had any luck on Megaways games anyway.

Not surprised, that Gonzo is a greedy greedy man! I fell out with him a few times on the original game, I see he hasn't changed much in 10 years then lol.

The RTP on the casino sites was 92.5% @Flatzem I use Slotstracker and collectively the RTP was running a whooping 72% with over 50,000 spins recorded from many players.   Highest win recorded was 300x and average bonus a whopping 15x. When I saw that my confidence of getting a decent win was obliterated, after playing confirmed.

I was able to get two big wins out of Gonzo's Quest (no more than 200x) the original slot by Netent but since then, it literally eats my bank roll like almost all other Netent offerings for me. I know others get big hits, in fact I almost fainted getting two decent wins on Stardust of all games. Beyond that Netent along with Red Tiger are basically avoided however, if I feel super lucky I'll give them a go.

Unibet  are running a 98% version for non UK - one of the few casinos at the moment that take everything at the max as well - as well as having one of the smoothest sites about.

games OK, but typical Red Tiger - kinda slow and clunky and pauses where there doesn't need to be

You right , Unibet slots especially on Push Gaming are lose to be honest, trigger jammin jars in 100 spins or less most times as well as Razor shark and shadow order.

Will take Red Tiger for a spin there and see how it plays, made a nice 500 bucks withdrawal last weekend from them.

Now Joker Troupe - What the fudge happened to this game, maybe open another thread for it, not sure. I only see it on Betvictor and Rootz Ltd.

Joker Troupe - ugh - my last go on it was at Bwin/GVC sites: had 20 quid and did 2 quid spins - Boom, the Red Spin bonus on first spin

Result - 1 quid win. After that i couldn't face playing it again

Novibet have it i think

Unibet are a great site - No SOW nonsense, withdrawals in minutes, smooth, few tournaments on the go (though offers are patchy), no taking low RTP's (for the mo): they pretty much tick all the boxes.

Funnily enough, went on Unibet last night and played JJ - 3 bonus rounds in 120 spins (4 jars at one point with a x12 and x8 and x7 just not connecting)

... Or maybe you've just accidentally hit the period when when their 'machines are full-belly and ready to spit wins'... 😛
