Heya :)

Right, so... I've been literally bombarded recently with PMs and emails coming from relatively fresh forum members commenting (some even complaining ) about the AskGamblers Paid Contests rules and more specifically, how strict and unfavorable towards new members those rules are, citing the active forum member requirement most often.

Some/most of you, the regular paid contests participants know exactly who and why we came to the current set of rules for our contests, but let me just explain in brief once again. The general idea behind the existence of our paid contests is rather simple - to give any really active and somehow contributing member of this forum a chance to earn some extra bucks in return of their loyalty and contribution towards other forum members in the form of advice, shared experience, etc.  Some of these paid contests exist for years and generated massive interest from players during this period. Not to mention the fact that we have paid tens of thousands of dollars so far - truly unprecedented event, especially in comparison with any other major casino affiliate website out there. Mentioning all this because as you can imagine, there were countless fraudulent attempts from unscrupulous players to take advantage from these contests which led to the current set of rules.

So, truly curious to hear what you, the AskGamblers Forum most active, loyal and contributing members think about it. I've just created a quick poll above and kindly requesting you to vote. Your voice matters!

@Afi4wins, @Fiekie247, @blondie, @pinnit2015, @copyyy, @catapultaudio and anyone else :)

Thank you all in advance! :good:

Being one of the longest member here, just let me say briefly that Askgamblers has experienced and gone through several unfavourable circumstances and situations that required it to take stricter measures to be imposed over time...particularly for all paid contests.

Yes, I have seen, heard and read of numerous attempts carried out by many former/banned members of Askgamblers, all for the sake of free or quick money from Askgamblers!

As it stands now, I am in favour of all the existing rules and requirements for the paid contests, and as far as I am concerned, no further changes or amendments need to be made...for the time being of course, barring any new unfavourable circumstances that may crop up in the future.

As for new members, their first attraction to Askgamblers is probably none other than the quick-money-opportunities to be had from the paid contests. Some may be genuinely honest, others may be in it purely for the free money, but whatever the reasons, new members need to prove their eligibility and/or loyalty first. After all, anyone who has just started a new employment anywhere MUST undergo a PROBATIONARY period first, be it 3 months, 6 months, or longer as necessary, right?

So to all new members, kindly realise that Askgamblers is not a charity organisation! But Askgamblers offer assistance and help to anyone who may need it, provided certain criteria are first met with. And as our Guru, Valdes, has said above, the paid contests are specifically meant as a 'reward' for all the loyal and endearing members here to enjoy.

Nah...this is not a sermon...just my truthful words! 🥰

DEAR potential contributes, lurkers, members et all.

Wait... Is this your site?
No?

oh...

maybe if you want input on  the house rules...

go build your own house...

in fact, when/if you do, you may come to see the value of some of the "unfair' policies once you have the appropriate experience,  perspective and status.

Until then.. demand less, earn more.

Cheers!

The AskGamblers is just too generous with new members.Having 50 posts and being member for 30 days in order to get 5$ per review seems like a bug in the system, with how easy is to get the money.
I voted for Too lenient, need to be more rigorous, as I believe that AG should have limit that new members are able to only do 3-5 reviews a month. Until they prove their loyalty by having 100-150+ posts and are forum members for 3 months.

Freshman members - 50 posts + 30-day registration (3-5 reviews per month limit)
Senior members 100-150 posts + 3 months forum member (40-50 reviews per month limit)

People that come only for money, let them be it's not that easy to write a review that contains 300 words minimum ,or is it?Dunno it usually takes me around 20-30min to do a review, 400-700words. Personally I think that most of the people will get tired, lazy and will give up, still without limits someone who is new member and highly trained spammer may rack up 500 posts, and get 1000$ in one month, that sounds absurd to me tbh.

Anyway AskGamblers is the only forum I am active on, all the people here are amazing and are not toxic which is why I always enjoy spending time here. Also I can't even compare other casino affiliate website with AG in term of giving back to the community. The AG paid contest just shows how much you guys care about this community and award active members.

I voted that no changes are needed. To be honest, just like all the other members already said, having the contests is a very nice extra but it's not something new members should take advantage of. I still remember the time when someone wrote around 200 reviews, all in poor language for a quick buck without any prior legitimate participation in the forum..and what happened? Afterwards that member disappeared. And that's happened many times. The only rule I sometimes struggle with is the winning screenshot- I still vouch for the fact that you need proof that you've played the game you're reviewing, just sometimes I've tried to write about games I strongly dislike (Wings of Riches for example) and I lost quite some money on it but never managed to get the 50x winner screenshot. But that's a tiny thing, I believe that everyone who's loyal to this site is happy with the rules.

Yes, agree Blondie my dear...some games are absolutely damn hard to get even a 30x win! I myself too have to exclude quite a number of games that I couldn't get a decent winning screenshot, even after several deposits and straight losses on those games.

did that hit and run member who wrote 200 reviews (was it in a single month) also provide the 200 screenshots? (maybe the screenshots wasn't a requirement back then?) and they accepted the poor language written mess too? maybe the money received from the 200 reviews was worth about an annual income in their country.

At that time it wasn't a requirement, it was a couple of years ago. And I think majority of the reviews were for casinos. Well as far as I remember, our Guru gave that person a warning for the future but there was no future afterwards.

Back then, many new members were literally posting up games and casino reviews purely for the quick money. Some reviews were written out of thin air, without them actually having played at the casinos, or have played the games with real money either...and that was when our Guru Valdes then imposed stricter rules for all paid contests.

Yeah guys I'll chip and say that's a real valid point, especially if you want to review a terrible game which you haven't had much luck on. I think it will be a tricky one to get around, considering we all know the reasons why this restriction is in place.

Maybe a suggestion would be for regular and trusted members ONLY  to be able to bypass this restriction. Let's tag @ValDes so he can read on his return.

Thanks for sharing your feedback and voting everyone, appreciate it! :good:

Let's give this topic (and poll) a week more and see if we will get some additional feedback and votes. Then I'll make sure to summarize and Let you all know how we gonna proceed further with the paid contests.

Sounds fair, right. :)

Another Suggestion - $6 per review for long standing members 🤣

Yeah, right, was betting with myself who would be the first one to suggest it - Afi or you. 😛

Jokes aside, we do not plan any increase for the obvious reasons - AG Paid Contests are still the most generous contests that any affiliate website has ever introduced. ;)

I am happy with $5 and got a lot of reading waiting for you this month. Reviews meant to be written since January.
