  1. After all day of exchanging emails I finally got them, after repeated direct requests, to close my account and only as a "goodwill gesture" did they agree to refund my deposit (also after several separate requests). I've never had such problems with any other gambling site, and I'm going to have to make a note to stay away from all 6 of their websites. Having pored over the requirements for the PASS cards It doesn't look like I'd be able to successfuly apply for one. They still have to know you personally, and be able to answer questions about you.
  2. It's Butler's Bingo. Doctors aren't allowed to countersign any more. It also can't be a family member, and I currently know absolutely nobody from the list of "acceptable professions".
  3. I can take a look, thanks. Though one of the reasons I don't have a passport is because I've had a nightmare of a time finding a valid countersignatory. I imagine this ID card will have similar requirements. But in the case where I would be unable to pass the verification checks, would they refund my first deposit?
  4. I've been on dozens of gambling sites and usually there's no problem at all with withdrawing winnings but with the few sites that do ask for documents I've been able to submit my Birth Certificate and Bank Statement to get verified since I'm unable to drive and I don't own a passport, and they've always been accepted without issue. But this one bingo site I joined today is refusing to accept anything other than a driving license or a passport, so I will not be able to pass the verification process and in two days time the account will get locked. Obviously my winnings will be lost, but what happens to the money I deposited? This is what their terms say about it - "Transactions will be voided" - does that mean they'll refund my deposit?
  5. It's honestly only £20, so it's not the end of the world or anything. I just want at least something from the money I spent there. And about the Trustpilot reviews, the vast majority are clearly fake (all one-line 5 star reviews from users who never posted before or since). I just spoke to their customer support and they seem to know nothing about being dissolved. And the website is still up and running. They also said my cheque will arrive in 4 working days (they've told me this 4-5 times before).
  6. There's quite a few syndicate sites like this. Generally you pay a monthly subscription or by individual draws, and you get a bunch of lines for every lottery and euromillions draw, and any winnings are split between all players in the group (and obviously the website too) This one also has a bunch of instant games. The site is called Lotto Social. It definitely feels dodgy with only those two payout methods, but they've been around for several years. I can't imagine being able to operate this long if they weren't at least somewhat legit. Though there are more than a few reports of payout problems with them.
  7. So about a month ago I won a small amount of money on a lottery syndicate website, which for the moment will remain nameless. They offer only two methods for payout - by cheque or some texted code you can supposedly take to the post office (while this technically does exist, most PO staff have never heard of it, and none seem to accept it). I requested a cheque which was supposed to arrive "within 7 days". It has now been almost 4 weeks and nothing has turned up. I've contacted their support 4 times so far. Each of the first 3 times they apologized and said they would have their "transaction team" contact me to investigate the missing cheque. They never did. The 4th time I spoke to them they said there has been some vague "delay" and that my cheque had been sent the day before, and will supposedly arrive within 2 days, and by no surprise at all it also never turned up. At this point I can only assume it's all been one big lie and they have no intent on paying me. Is there anything I can do to 'force' them into releasing my winnings? Or failing that what are the chances I can have my bank reverse the money I've spent there?
  8. I don't do alot of gambling but whenever I join a new site I always make a small (£20-£30) deposit, play for about 15 minutes on low-stake games and then withdraw, so I can get a feel for the site, their games and see how well they handle transactions, verification etc. I've done this probably 20 or more times and never had a problem. I joined ComeOn Casino yesterday, did my usual thing and withdrew £20. Now they've emailed me saying they rejected my withdrawal because I haven't spent enough money.... Is this nonsense or what? How is this a part of their gambling license, and they even allowed to do this? Yeah, I get this is only very small amounts, and I could just play (and probably lose) some more but that's not the point.
