One thing I do like about Paddy Power is the great account section which allows you to track your way through the wagering of this and any other bonuses you might happen to be participating in. I also like the fact they allow you to play almost any game, all bet with pretty rubbish contribution percentages for stuff like Roulette and Blackjack, but hey that’s pretty much completely standard in the industry these days.
Paddy Power no longer run Gamesys software as is stated on this page, but they do still offer the £5 no deposit bonus for new players, so at least that information is not out of date. You’ll need to get real lucky in order to beat the wagering requirements for this free fiver though as they are set at fifty times the bonus amount - £250 of wagering in all – which might just be doable with a larger bonus, but with just a fiver, your going to need to get real lucky very fast if you are to stand any chance of converting this into real funds.
I don’t think you can ever really complain about being given a little free cash, but I think if your going to tie such a large wagering requirement onto this bonus, why not make it £10 or even a little higher? There would still be only a very small percentage of players who go on to actually convert the money into real funds, so I doubt it would have much effect on the casinos bottom line, and I just think it sets a nicer first impression for new players. Sadly for you lot here at AskGamblers, I’m not the one choosing to setup these bonuses though ;)
Of course, this kind of bonus isn’t designed to be free cash – it’s just a way for you to try the games the casino has on offer, which is Playtech games only, at least in this area of the casino – they do have a separate “Games” casino offering games from other providers now, but you can’t use this bonus outside of the Playtech area sadly.
