I dropped £200 on my first deposit bonus, giving me £400 to play with and a 40x wager requirement on the bonus amount only is always a nice touch – effectively working out as just 20x your initial starting balance. Almost sounds easy when you put it like that, but when lady luck is not on your side then unfortunately things just don’t go your way.
The fifty bonus spins on Book of Dead are pretty much an afterthought when you have £400 to play with, and I actually forgot about them entirely when I finally ran out of funds and decided to go for the second deposit bonus instead. It really wouldn’t have mattered anyway as I later found out that winnings from these spins are capped at a measly £20 – that’s pretty much disgusting in my book and pretty much negates the point of offering any so called “cherry on top” bonus spins altogether.
There are an awful lot of terms and conditions attached to these bonuses and whilst they are all pretty standard nowadays, I’m sure there are probably a few gotchas hidden amongst them somewhere. The main thing for me is checking that the games I like to play are not prohibited from bonus play, and whilst the list of slots with a reduced percentage is really quite low, the number with zero contribution whatsoever is enormous, so I’d definitely recommend taking a look at that.
Nevertheless I did have a lot of fun playing with my funds here, although as ever I got a little bit carried away with my bet sizes as I often do when playing with a large balance.
