Refer Casino (also known as SO Affiliates) is a casino affiliate program for multiple US-facing RTG casinos, including the Virtual Casino, Vegas Strip Casino, and Party City Casino. These casinos offer a wide range of slots and other casino games, with a growing number of mobile titles. Many players and affiliates alike have had issues with slow payments. The Refer Casino group was founded in 2007 and is licensed by the government of Costa Rica.
Affiliates in the Refer Casino program may earn commissions through one of two ways. The first is a conventional profit sharing model where affiliates get a percentage of net revenue generated by referred players. This percentage increases as the affiliate refers more and more active players.
Under this revenue share structure, affiliates do not have to worry about negative carryover. Additionally, Refer Casino does not bundle together negative and positive balances from multiple casinos within the group, ensuring that affiliates get the maximum possible commission.
Alternatively, affiliates who have been members for at least 3 months may opt for a CPA (cost-per-acquisition) program instead. Under this model, the affiliate gets a one-time payment per active player. Affiliates must be manually approved for this program due to high fraud risk.
Refer Casino offers affiliates the ability to refer other affiliates in its 2-Tier sub-affiliate program. Refer Casino pays referrers a double commission equal to 5% of their sub-affiliates’ net earned revenue plus an added bonus of 5% of their sub-affiliates’ commissions.
Refer Casino claims to make payments to affiliate accounts by the 15th of the end of each month, although there have been some complaints of late and unpaid commissions. Affiliates can receive their payment by Neteller, Firepay, check, prepaid ATM card, or into their own personal player account at a casino within the Refer Casino network.
The minimum payout rate is a low $100. Balances less than this are carried over to the following month(s). Payments are made only in USD, which means that affiliates who reside in countries that do not use the US dollar will need to consider foreign exchange rates and currency conversion cost.
The affiliate platform used by Refer Casino is proprietary. As such, experienced affiliates may find that the reporting and analytics options provided in their dashboard are not as advanced as those found in other programs.
