Recently, I received a promotional email from Coin Palace Casino, with a seasonal Welcome offer of 100% bonus plus 200 free spins on Starburst. Well, that free spins offer was too good to be missed, although Starburst is not a game I would want to play 200 free spins on, but beggars cannot be choosers. Any free spins offer is good to take up, especially when it amounts to 200 free spin, even though it would be broken up into 8 separate days of 25 free spins each day. Honestly speaking, 25 free spins on Starburst can still pay out nothing, and that was a daunting though indeed!
So I got myself registered, got my email validated, completed my profile info, then proceeded to make a $20 deposit. The $20 bonus money was instantly credited into my account, but the free spins would only start from the next day onwards. With $40 in hand, I looked through the games list, as well as on the Bonus terms too, and found out that Dead Or Alive isn't allowed to be played with any bonus money. I finally decided to give BetSoft's 'A Christmas Carol' game a try, hoping to get at least one winning screenshot that I could use for Askgamblers' on-going Christmas winning screenshots contest.
The game has beautiful graphics, typical of BetSoft's 3D games, but a nice looking game doesn't always mean a good game to play. A Christmas Carol is one such game. It isn't easy to get nice wins from it, because the paytable is low, but I managed to get one win of above 50x my bet amount, and took a screenshot of it. But one screenshot was enough for me, so I quit playing it, simply because the game cannot pay big, and I don't quite like the game. I then switched over to Fruit Zen, another of BetSoft's games, and one of my favourites too.
Fruit Zen was playing okay at first, giving 1 Wild Reel on and off, but the 2 Wild Reels finally came after a long wait and play. Nope, it didn't pay out much and the third center Wild Reel did not come at all. That was a disappointment. Otherwise I would have gotten a very nice win with 3 Wild Reels. I kept on playing Fruit Zen, hoping to finally get a 3 Wild Reels feature, but it never came, and it wiped out all of my credit balance too. Hmm. I have played Fruit Zen many thousands of spins before this, have become familiar with the game, but of late, all the Fruit Zen games that I have played at various casinos do not play as it used to. It is now eating and eating most of the time, following Starburst's traits, and the Wild Reels do not come as often too. This isn't good at all, and not to my liking.
The 8 days of 25 free spins per day on Starburst were just as bad. Not one single day gave me a decent win to carry on playing. Each day, those 25 free spins would pay less than $2 each time, and finally went down to zero balance soon after. All 8 days of Starburst were a total disappointment for me. So very typical of the game Starburst. I thought Fruit Zen could replace Starburst for me, but Fruit Zen too has been very disappointing of late. Well, like I've always known before, and know it now too, there's nothing better for me than my good old Playtech games, which hasn't changed much over almost 2 decades of its existence.
