Bodog USA Players Redirected to Bovada

Bodog USA Players Redirected to Bovada

If you're a US player who has enjoyed playing at Bodog in the past, you may have been surprised on Wednesday morning that you were no longer able to access the site. Because the license between Bodog and the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group (MMGG) has expired, MMGG has decided to migrate all existing US Bodog players to their new brand, Bovada. Although the site itself is new, very little has actually changed.

Migrating from Bodog to Bovada

Although this has all happened very quickly, MMGG's transition from Bodog to Bovada has essentially been perfect. There have been no visible interface, banking, or support hiccups, and all players have been retained without issues. If you're an American player who has played at Bodog before, do not register a new account. You will be able to access your same account from within the new Bovada site. To log in, just use your existing Bodog account number and password. If you have forgotten these details, you may request to get them sent to you via secure email.

Of course, if you never had an account at Bodog, you'll need to register one at the new Bovada website. Press the Join Now link on the upper-right portion of the website to get started.

Is the company the same?

Yes. Prior to the December 14th changeover, the old website was run under the direction of the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group. Both Bodog and MMGG have been deliberating for months about letting their agreement expire so that MMGG could offer games specifically to US players and select other jurisdictions. As a result, MMGG has left Bodog and taken up the new Bovada brand. Rest assured that no third parties have obtained any of your existing data in the process of the switch.

What about the games?

Bodog and Bovada share the exact same proprietary gaming software. As such, players at Bovada can continue to enjoy playing in the casino, poker room, sportsbook, or horse racing book. Of particular note is that Bovada Casino continues to offer the very same selection of proprietary games that were available at Bodog. This includes popular favorites like Reel Blood, It's Good to Be Bad, and Witches and Wizards, as well as table games, video pokers, and specialty games.

So what has changed?

Other than the name, not much, and we think that's a very good thing. The most prominent change is a simple redesign. The Bovada website uses a Las Vegas-style theme with desert roads and dazzling skylines, but this does not detract from the easy-to-use website interface. Furthermore, Bovada offers their players a whole new set of promotions, including a new 100% match welcome bonus.

We hope that your experience with the new Bovada Casino from MMGG is a good one. We've been impressed with the professional conduct of both Bodog and MMGG through this transitional period. Whether you've been a previous customer of Bodog or are looking for a new place to try, we expect that your experience at Bovada should be completely enjoyable.
