Rival Casinos vs. The USA

Rival Casinos vs. The USA

June 14, 2011.

USA Online Casinos have recently taken another drastic blow from the United States Department of Justice. On the coattails of the recent Black Friday and Withdrawal Solutions for American Players, Rival management has severely restricted American access to their games. The process, although it originally affected only prospective players, has now evolved into a ban on US players from the vast majority of Rival casinos.

What Rival casinos are still in operation?

Before we look at the details of this unfortunate event, a clarification needs to be made. Rival is a software provider that also acts as the owner of a majority of its casinos. These software-owned casinos are called white-label casinos. White-labels can be identified in the Terms and Conditions of a casino, where the introductory paragraph will state that the casino is operated by Bonne Chance LV/Silverstone Overseas. Most of these events have only affected these white-label Rival casinos.

There are two independently-owned Rival casinos that still offer real money games to US players: Sloto'Cash Review and Desert Nights Casino Casino. These two casinos are sister casinos and have been operating for years. They are generally regarded as the most reputable Rival casinos, and regularly offer players good bonuses and fast cashouts. Since they are independently run, American players will not have any issues depositing, playing, or withdrawing at either.

Of course, if you want to play casino games that aren't powered by Rival, you'll need to look elsewhere for your casino needs. What has affected the Rival casinos?

In May, Rival management decided to prohibit new players from registering at any of its white-label casinos. This occurred just a few days after the Black Friday seizures, and we can only speculate that they acted to prevent the same thing from happening to them.

Shortly after announcing that they were not taking on any new players, people who already had accounts at white-label Rivals saw that they no longer had any deposit or withdrawal options left. Many of these casinos have issued statements to their players apologizing because they could no longer offer them real money games.

While Sloto'Cash Review and Desert Nights Casino Casino had a minor hiccup with banking, they have resolved this issue and now offer players Visa and American Express for deposits and bank wire for withdrawals.

On June 13, Rival blocked 3D games for US players. The decision was made by the software management, and not by any of the independently-owned Rival casinos. It is a pity since these 3D games received acclaim from many as being some of the most entertaining in the US market.

While the Department of Justice seems to be acting more aggressively towards the online casino industry, US players are not being sought after. Since there is no federal law prohibiting people from playing, US players can still enjoy a vast library of slots, table games, and video pokers at either Sloto'Cash or Desert Nights Casino with hardly any problems.
