Concluding the InfoPowa report on the 2010 ICEi show in London, it has been encouraging to note over the past three days that the dynamic and upbeat pulse of the industry remains strong and very much present.
Industry companies are looking ahead to better times and devoting substantial resources to the continued development of technology and innovative new games and player services.
We started our final day at the show with a visit to the well known and respected operator and Bwin Interactive online poker software developer and network subsidiary Ongame, which head of sales Martin Lerby says has some 25 major sites generating up to 45 000 concurrent players at peak periods. With both online and mobile poker product, the company sensibly focuses on its core poker business, ensuring that players get the best out of impressive P5 software engine and the numerous player-centric services offered by the network.
VistaGaming - an umbrella brand covering 13 leading gaming sites - has launched at ICEi. The move by parent company CB Malta Corporation Limited brings in line all of the company's websites which include CyberBingo, OKMagBingo.com, DailyStarBingo.com, Spanish sites, JeugoesLucky.com and PepeGames.com, as well as other gaming sites offering casino, poker and sports book action. VistaGaming will be making its Network Application available in February 2010 which will allow affiliates to interface directly with its established network and develop new and unique custom websites
Hailing from the snowy wastes of Iceland was Parspro. Marketing manager Thorvar Hafsteinsson had a range of products available including Parspro Juliet, a sports betting package that enables operators to offer their customers live betting and a range of tournaments. Used either as a standalone or easily integrated into existing systems, the software combines live betting and multiplayer capabilities.
Parspro also produces ppToto, an html-based management application, and Parspro Cordelia - a high volume pari mutuel horse and greyhound racing betting solution.
Two companies from Sweden had software products; Play'nGo's offering is a turnkey casino-bingo-poker system, whilst Proactive Gaming works with Allin Partners to provide 3D gaming software to companies looking for live dealer, poker and sports betting products.
InfoPowa ended its show tour with visits to the respected Channel Isles regulator Alderney, which used the ICEi show to publicise changes to the licensing regime operated by the States of Alderney; and to the Kahnawake Gaming Commission stand, where some interesting changes have been taking place.
