Rising Sun slot machine from Saucify is a fine example how to combine a traditional, classic product with modern art elements. This Japan themed slot has Japanese anime graphic illustrating method to give the game a very modern look but at the same time we can see a Pagoda-like building in the background and some of the used symbols are Japanese fonts which represents the traditional culture for me but because of it is well-designed and artistically very decent work the overall look are great and the different kind of art styles fits well to each other. At the beginning I was a little bit afraid of that Japanese fonts pictograms because I thought it was going to difficult to separate and recognize them on the reels but after spending some time with the game I realized that it doesn’t cause any problem at all. I appreciate the bravery that Saucify dared to mix these two dominant artistic variations but at the end I think they succeed to create a nice and rock-solid appearance for this slot.

The game has 3-reels and 5-paylines where we can play on and surprisingly has only 5 symbols to play with. The most important character at this game is Japanese Girl, which not just replaces other symbols but also has the ability to multiply the wins with x2 or x4 depending on how many of them are part of the winning combo but when it completes its main job it can award the 5 best paying 3 of a kind combinations. I mean the Jackpot of the game needs 3 such characters but it does matter where they are on the reels. The classic center line win is worth the less, 1000 coins but a good line starting from the bottom position of the first reel and finishing at the tops spot of the last reel pays the maximum 2400 coins. Unfortunately, the slot hasn’t got any single symbol that would pay in itself but at least the 3 Font emblems can achieve win with every mixed variations.

I only played the game with max. 5 coins to have a chance for the biggest prize and I usually use just €0.50 or rarely €1.25 as total bet. I experienced some good qualities of payouts as the wins – and not just the smaller ones – happen more frequently what I’m used to at classic machines and fortunately the top symbol also shows often its multiplying ability and giving out good paying combinations. Though I haven’t won any Jackpots here yet but at this game not just the possibility is given for that but I’m as a player really feel that it can happen any time, which can be sound at first very strange but there really are some products in the business that hasn’t such quality and playing with them just like if I throw the money out of the window. If I can mention one thing that would need a little modification in my opinion it would the improvement of the non-Jackpot wins payout quality. As I mentioned the less paying Jackpot is 1000 coins but the next one without Japanese Girl is just worth 160 coins and I think there’s too much gap between these two.

Other than that Rising Sun is a very good game with overall great qualities. I like its unique appearance but I like more how the game acts while playing it. There are no long cold streaks and its payout tendency is better than I originally thought so I can safely say I disappointed in this product in positive way which not too often happens. I can recommend this slot everyone who love playing with classic slots but with not necessarily traditional interface and seek for a correct, very decent working game functions and features.
