Global Gaming Awards for the 2016 shortlist is out and we are bringing you the scoop so you would know who the finalist in each category are. After months of anxious waiting and rumoring, the shortlist has been finally announced. We are sure that you have your favourite and that you are rooting for someone for sure.
What to expect
This has been a lengthy and complex process and the potential nominees have been analyzed and deliberated on by the nominations judging panel which was comprised of 8 industry experts as well as the Gambling Insider editorial team.
As you might already know this is the third edition of the GGA, and those companies who have hit the shortlist now face a month-long wait to find out if they will be taking any of the awards back home with them.
The winners will be announced at the Global Gaming Expo that will take place in Vegas. The 2016 Global Gaming Awards luncheon and presentation ceremony will be in the Titian Ballroom at the Venetian Palazzo Congress Center on Monday, September 26th, 2016.
There are 10 nominees per category and the awards are handed based on the recognized achievements made on both land-based and digital sides of the industry in the last 12 months. Also this year’s ceremony will be a brand new category as the North America Executive of the Year award is introduced.
Here’s the shortlist
There are 12 nominated categories:
- Land based operator of the year
- Digital operator of the year
- Casino product of the year
- Digital product of the year
- Digital Acquisition program of the year
- Customer Loyalty program of the year
- Land-based Industry Supplier of the year
- Digital Industry Supplier of the year
- Land-Based Gaming Innovation of the year
- Digital Gaming Innovation of the year
- Responsible business of the year
- North America Executive of the year
Casino product of the year acknowledges the best products that make the casino experience better for the customer or easier to manage for the operator. Shortlist includes: EGT, Scientific Gaming, Aristocrat and AGS.
Digital product of the year shortlist includes major names such as Microgaming, SBTech, Betradar and GoldenRace. The Digital Industry supplier category includes Paysafecard, BetConstruct, Nyx gaming group and NetEnt. When it comes Digital Gaming Innovation the shortlist includes Arenacube and Yggdrasil.
This is surely going to be one hell of gaming awards ceremony so be sure not to miss it! September is just around the corner.
