Mfortune Giant cheque photo request??!!

Hi, 

 

im have requested to withdraw £1050 from mfortune and they have said they have to send me a cheque and i have to send them a picture of me holding the cheque. i have no issues doing this as they say its to put on their site for promo purposes, just wondering if its the norm?

Hi Adam!

 

I guess this entirely up to you whether or not you want your picture to be on the site! It seems like a strange request to me though, I'm afraid I don't think I would be willing to. Is this the only reason why they want to pay you by cheque?

hi thanks for the reply, i was unsure at 1st and iv had a look around and havnt seen anyone elses pics but the cheque they are sending is just a dummy one for photo purposes. i have withdrawn the funds via bank transfer and they have said only when i get the cheque and have sent the pic can the funds be paid to me

I have seen this selfie thing in some casinos. I was asked once from a casino to send them a pic but i did not did them the favor. But i received the money with no trouble. If they said that they will hold your withdraw unless you send them the photo is just unaccetable and blackmail from them. Did you check their casino terms?

What!! That's ridculous! I'm sure that isn't fair practise. Have you checked their terms like Prince mentioned to see if this is mentioned anywhere?

above is the email i received, to me its says once we have the pic we will process payment, i haven't read through all the t&c's just thought id ask 1st see if anyone else has any experience of it... they said the cheque should be with me Monday so all i can do is wait.

Wow!!!! I've honestly never heard anything like it!

 

Yes I can understand that maybe they'd like you to feature in a possible winners section but they're asking you to take the photo of you with your winnings before you've even received them! It's just absurd and also false advertising on their behalf, asking a winner to have a picture done when actually they haven't even received the funds yet.

 

I guess we just have to wait and see now then

Back to your question... I will be short though as the way they are trying to put your withdrawal in a direct dependence of your cooperativeness is definitely not a fair and honest casino practice! :angry:

thanks for all your replies. the cheque came in the post monday, i had sent the pic in and they have emailed me back saying that my withdrawal is being processed and will be in my bank in 3-4 days so i think its all legit!
