Worried online casino will find excuse not to pay

Hi, in the past I've self excluded from various sites and because of this I've had some problems withdrawing winnings from sites I've won on that have (unknown to me until trying to withdraw have be "sister sites!" Of others ive self excluded and therefore payouts have been void. Anyway my question is last night I won £6000 playing slots I withdrew £5000 straight away and then an hour later withdrew £1000. After checking the casino out on here I'm 99% sure the casino only had one sister site which is now closed and with I was never a member off. My worry is that because I'm self excluded from other sites that are governed by the UK gambling commission does that mean I'm self excluded from all online casinos governed by UK gambling commission? Or is this a stupid question and have no relevance to self exclusion policy's. Thanks for any answers/advice

Hi Gabbaman

First of all congratulations on your winnings.

I'm afraid that Self-Exclusion is not my area of expertise so I wouldn't like to give you a definite answer although I am sure that it does not make a difference that you have self-excluded from other casinos governed by the UKGC.

We actually have loads of members here that can help you with this and I know they'll be along shortly to offer you some words of advice.

Have you send off your verification documents to the casino in question?

Thanks for the reply and no they haven't asked for anything . Only detail's they have is standard registration ie name address etc and card details. I'm set up with online banking so can they not just verify my identity through my bank?

No unfortunately that isn't the way it works. I'm assuming this is your first withdrawal with the casino? When you make your first withdrawal they need to prove your identity before they can process your withdrawal. This is done through documents you have to email into them. Usually this involves one photographic ID (eg. driving licence / passport) and proof of address (e.g utility bill) and it must be within 3 months,

What I would suggest you do now is contact support and ask them for the email address to send in your documents, it will certainly speed up the withdrawal process for you. Do you know the withdrawal time frame?

Hello  and welcome to AskGamblers.

Well, you should not worry about your withdrawal if you played by the casino rules and didn't breach any of these. Also, self exclusion should not a problem unless you have an active one with another casino within the same group operating with the same UKGC licence.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Oh, congrats on your winnings though! :good: Perhaps you could make us envy at your big hits by posting your winners in some of the forum topics mentioned below.... ;)

Show time - let's see your winner screenshots!

Mega slot wins - oh yes, it's possible!

Yes I'm from England and no I don't think it is a playtech casino

Such a long pending time!!!!!

Anyway whichever casino it is, it's vital you could your verification documents approve. You really need to chat with support now and ask them what's happening with the withdrawal. Do they have live chat?
