Edited: Netent games - lag difference between winning and losing spins?

Recommended Posts

Am I literally the only person that has noticed with every Netent game, a losing spin will happen straight away - but if it's going to be a winning spin there is a slight lag? Have I just played at the wrong casinos? I have had this issue with every online casino I have played at, ranging from higher rated casinos and lower rated ones. The best way to notice is the spin button, when it is a losing spin - the button will only stay transparent for 1/10th of a second, for a winning spin is grays out for like 3/10ths of a second with a slight lag like it is calculating the win or something? It really takes all the fun out of playing when I can tell if the spin will be a winner or loser before it happens. Note; This only happens on real money play - on play money each spin is the same.

I recorded an example below with me calling out when the spin will be a loser or winner.

Sorry I never replied yesterday when I first read your post I was waiting for some other replies to come in before I jumped in. If I'm being completely honest and not trying to be rude at all I don't see the 'lag' you are talking about in your video.

I'm a huge fan of NetEnt and I don't find their games boring at all, neither predictable. If you had asked me if I find Microgaming boring then I would certainly have answered yes, well at least to their newest games anyway, not my old favourites of course.

Have you tried playing games other than NetEnt? NetEnt maybe just isn't for you, maybe a different gaming company would be more to your liking?

interesting video. i never watch at spin button when i click on it - i rather watch at the reels and things like that. maybe you should try some other games from different providers if you don't like netent so much because of that.

I am totally happy creating a much longer video. I don't find Netent games boring at all, they are my favorite provider; up until I noticed this lag. Will make a longer video, you can either accept that I am noticing a slight lag or am a psychic and can tell what is coming next :p

Sorry for double post, so the game I have noticed the most lag on is Elements - which is my favorite game so probably why I noticed it since I play it so much (I still play with the lag since I love it so much). So the initial spin is generally fine, but if you get a winning spin and the symbols break and more drop in - there will be a slight lag if it is going to be a losing spin, the symbols will drop in almost immediatelyif it's going to be a winning spin.

In regard to Microgaming, I love them too, no lag for me there, I mean if this lag wasn't on Netent I'd much prefer them, all the games are well crafted and very individual, something that not many slot developers can vouch for.

You are definitely not 'psychic' or if so, then I am one of those too. :D

In my humble opinion, there certainly IS some difference between losing and winnings spins when playing NetEnt games across online casinos consisting of a short delay/lag for the winnings spins in comparison with the losing ones. My personal observations based on hundreds of thousands of spins made across hundreds of different online casinos is that this delay/lag could vary anywhere from a few milliseconds to few seconds actually.

It doesn't really make NetEnt games boring or predictable though, simply because you never know how big the winning spin would actually be. ;)

I obviously have no idea how to properly quote, so my message is below lol

Glad I am not the only one, thought I was going insane. Every game I have played of theirs, there are actually only two games where I don't notice this lag, Reel Rush and Aloha Cluster Plays. I do agree - if the game is well designed enough then the lag doesn't ruin the games for me, ever since noticing the lag - Elements still gets way too much game play out of me. Also, this lag doesn't effect getting free spins that don't result in a win, like Steam Tower for example, so even if the spin doesn't lag and you know it's not resulting in a winning spin - it can still be free spins since that technically isn't an actual winning spin on quite a lot of Netent games.

Not at all, that works a lot better.

Anyway, upon playing over a broad variety of online casinos, the lag is relevant over all casinos, though is actually a lot less obvious on some of the higher rated casinos. I noticed the lag was a lot less obvious on Matrix casinos like John Wayne casino, the lag was really obvious on more lower rated casinos like EUcasino.

Hi Samverhoeff

I have noticed it on some Netent games, sometimes i think when the game give a error : "The game is currently unavailable" i figured i might have made a big win and then i have to restart the game - Well that is just my thought.

I have noticed on Bork the Berzerker - If symbols drop on reel one and the Bork Wild on reel 2, then you normally get delay while reel 3 is spinning, but have you noticed on a loosing spin, if Bork lands on reel 2, then the rest of reels spins at the same speed as the first 2.

I also noticed on certain games, lets say you spin 50 auto spins, but the availbable cash in your balance can in reality only accomodate 40 of them, have you noticed on your last spin when funds are exausted, before the spin is half way in progress the game tells you, you dont have cash or make a deposit. I saw this on Play N Go games, as if the game knows you lost that spin even though the reels are still spinning LOL.

You are far from alone mate. The most pronounced NetEnt lags actually happen the other way around. During respins on games like King of Slots, Reel Rush, etc it is actually the losing spins that lag.

But NetEnt are not alone in this kind of thing. Microgaming and iSoftbet for example have their own lag on a lot of games when 2 scatters are going to land on reels 1 to 4.

Then some Playtech games have their own quirks as well with the scatters.

This is all completely useless to a player but something we enjoy spotting and writing about.

Thanks for your input Slots-Guide, very valuable and welcome to the forum.

I've seen some people saying this about WMS games just last week and experienced it myself with Microgaming slots a couple of years back at WinTingo when they were still accepting UK players... I've got no idea why it happens though. Does the problem occur at every casino you play at ? If it bothers you I would recommend playing somewhere else as for me it was a casino-specific issue.

I wish I started this topic.

I'm a video games freak all my life except the last 5+ years haven't played much, as growing up things get more busy and that sorta thing...

Love BETA testing games growing in my teens instead of going out to party all night, I'd be playing video games.

Now about the topic " i Agree " with lag or the proper name for it latency gives the spins a different result than it would if your connection was stable or unstable from your connection being slow from another person or few connected to the same wifi/router downloading at max speed and other watching YouTube, so much traffic the spins are different to watch you would get if had no traffic:..

Having bad connection and loaded traffic with others downloading and other stuff going you poor latency gives out crappy spins and poor payout results from what I can understand and think everyone should take note and listen up to gamers who would be the best to notice these things.

Having good stable connection and thee only person connected to your router/wifi no traffic it seems to payout ad give free spins better and more.

I could write a list of which games I reckon play different if you would do this or that just somethin simple that's not in any way cheating.

Exploiting it is the best way put what I'm trying to say is that it's very possible on some games out there and 1 game that pays out different being on a mobile to desktop.

These poeple (fools) that make these poke games or is to play online shouldn't be able to do some of the things that some games do, maybe spend more time on releasing the game without any way of exploiting it before releasing it.
