Guts and restricted countries

Recommended Posts

Good morning karma and welcome to AskGamblers!

Why Denmark is among restricted countries I can't tell and that should be business decision but there is so many reputable casinos that accepting danish players.

If you need suggestion, just ask!

Cheers

I just think it is weird that they operate just the way it suits them.. Norway is super protective of their citizens to protect them from addiction and other issues that can come from gambling.. And when they say they take responsible gambling very serious, why target the illegal market?? And when something happens they have zero responsible...

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't know that, so I checked my account and I saw a message from them

"We regret to inform you that William Hill has taken a decision to withdraw all of its online betting and gaming services for all residents of Romania for the foreseeable future.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you however this decision has been taken for regulatory reasons beyond our control and with very short notice.

We will be suspending the accounts of all residents of Romania. From today, 2nd June 2015, you will not be able to use your account to access our online sportsbook or gaming products. "

Well,it seems that a lot of casinos are closing their gates for romanian players

READ THIS.. Letter sent from Norway gaming authority to the online gambling operators..

https://lottstift.no/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Brev-til-spillselskap-engelsk-okt14.pdf

They target the Norwegian market illegally.. Even though they say it's legal.. They speak highly about themselves and responsible gambling.. They truly wants the best for the costumers.. Still they accept money from "protected players". And when the player gets h*s life ruined because of gambling problems, they put all the responsibility on him/her..

OUCH!  :o

Everyone was expecting that the Norwegian authorities responsible for gambling will more sooner or later, but this letter... Hmm, it goes beyond my highest expectations to be honest and I believe that a lot of the casino brands listed inside will be in a serious danger IF and WHEN Norwegian players stop playing there.

Well, in my humble opinion, no one is able to give a decent answer to what's about to happen in light of the aforementioned letter... I know what happened with Bulgarian gambling market though. After two or three letters issued by the Bulgarian authorities which didn't achieve the desire effect, then all ISPs were obliged to restrict online access to a list of online operators who never complied with new requirements. A new list where new online brands are added is being issued on a monthly basis, sometimes even twice a month and miracles start to happen as more and more of the restricted operators are now starting or already got their license to operate and offer online gambling services to Bulgarian players.

SO, I guess there's a pretty big chance for the same scenario to happen in Norway... We'll see that very soon though, meanwhile I hope the Norwegian layers will not suffer as much as the Bulgarian players.
