PokerStars goes live with NetEnt’s online casino games

Recommended Posts

I guess so... Still curious to see the way that NetEnt games have been implemented into the PokerStars website though, cause right now there's no sign from such games there. Or I am missing something? :o

I read about this in some poker forum and i was suprised because poker players don't like this thing with ˝casino˝. I know also that some members of Pokerstars team will leave just because this fact. I played it once here when i had some money on my balance but they don't offered a lot of NetEnt slots. Or maybe they add it later? Hmm.. that time when i was playing i saw only 3 or 4 from NetEnt.

While I understand the concept of cross-selling, I'm not digging the trend of pokerrooms turning into semi online casinos. About every poker room now has casino games to lure players.

There is literally no poker room left now that only offers, just that, what it was built for, online poker games. Believe it or not, but if I want to focus on playing poker, I only want to be playing that game without them luring me into playing casino games.

Well there are two opinions from the poker players at Stars. The first one as you said dont like it because they think that the recreational players << the fishes>> will spent much of their balance at slots as they are faster  and easier to play. So they will lose much of the player pool and money of course. After all they strongly believe that poker has nothing to do with gambling and they dont want the site to have casino games. We are talking about Pokerstars and not any other small poker room . Its their TEMPLE.

The other side of the players and Amaya believe that casino games will attract many online casino players and many of them will play poker games so it will increase the traffic at the site so more money for them.

Time will show how this will go and who is right. I support the first opinion and i am against with the new owners recent changes.

BTW Have you seen how ugly their casino is??? :D  I mean who will choose to play there when there are much more beautiful casinos which have great promotions for the players.

You're right prince Myshkin. the lobby of casino looks awful for me, i don't saw any good promotions and i belive that Pokerstars will always be place where poker is on first place. I'm not happy about this casino, i tried it and i don't like it at all. But like you said maybe will be more fishes on poker rooms just because they offer casino.

I have played here, they have only about 60 slots, you can play when you download the app and the minimum deposit is 10$ via Neteller. Still their main orientation is Poker.

But anyway, they got really nice casino rank score at AskGamblers, so they probably have many other quality things and choices to offer :)

I absolutely hated the fact that PokerStars introduced casino games to their client, it was the one place left where I could escape from the temptation of negative expectation games with my poker winnings and now I have the worst of the worst games right in my face lol. I actually have some of the casino games disabled on some of my poker sites.

I understand they want to make more profit but come on, PokerStars are a world leader BY FAR in on-line poker, did they really need to do this?
