Why casinos let you register, although your country is restricted?

I am sure that many of you expired full registration and then, suddenly and immediately your fresh account has been locked, because your country/IP is restricted.

It happened to me twice, last time about week ago, but I cannot remember in which casino. I fulfilled all the fields, successfully registered and after a second, automatically, my account was locked and there was a pop-up message about it. I asked support why's that, they apologised and explained and I received an email with the message about Serbia is being restricted, meanwhile  <_<

 

So, what is the point? They need your email and details, so they can send you some offers or have bigger database? You cannot play anyway.

Isn't it easier just not to offer Serbia in the list where you need to find and choose your country..or simply to warn you not to bother creating your account, because you are not allowed..like some casinos actually do??  :mellow:

Someone is too lazy to get the allowed countries list sorted out probably. When i first joined AG and started taking bonuses I sent an email to Valdes for every casino I found that said Macedonia was allowed but actually wasn't. The strange thing was that in most casinos in wasn't even stated in their T&C. I also had a situation in one casino when i was allowed to register, take a bonus, wager it and when i asked for a withdrawal they told me Macedonia wasn't allowed and closed my account. Very frustrating. I also have to say it's humiliating. I mean what the Heck, my money isn't good enough to play at your casino because of my country. A big "you know what " to all of them.  =@  =@  =@

Aww,, recently I won 200 euros and after I asked for withdrawal I have been told that my country is restricted from that bonus, hm, they asked me to depsoit 30 euros and then wager would start again :angry::aggressive: . And all that in order to get 100 euros what was max.cashout.

Of course, I asked them nicely to close my account.

 

Adios !!! :spiteful:

 

P.S. It is obvious that sometimes they do whatever they want at the moment, that is why they could be ranked and are poor ranked.

 

Well,after all, we should check before registering if possible to access to live supporti if we have registered account already, because you dont want to win and then found out your having double account. Same with bonuses in my opinion.

Have been in such situation many times, but it never happened with a reputable casino. Which means you need to be careful what casino you intend to join I guess. And let's face it, if a casino don't bother creating and implementing a WORKING solution which should restrict the access of players coming from restricted countries then I seriously doubt you could expect anything exceptional for this operator. :(

Oh I know this too. I remember I once wagered a no deposit bonus at Grand Eagle casino, and when I asked the support about my withdrawal options, I was told that I was able to get this bonus only after 1st deposit was made. In other words, I got a bonus I wasn't supposed to get. Then I asked to close my account. Also I was able to register and take a free chip at Always Cool casino. I got a bonus I wasn't supposed to get as my country was restricted for it and I didn't check the terms first because I thougt- well if I got the bonus I should be able to use it. And that has happened in many other casinos. I think it would be so much better if more casinos used the option to not include my country in their country list in the registering process, at least then I don't waste my time trying to read terms or talking to support.

Now i feel like file complaint against them just because they took my money from me, oh Yes!

 

Now that you saw this, makes you wondering should you get with live support before even claiming No Deposit bonus, and not even thinking of depositing. 

 

Many highly ranked and confirmed casinos are out there, just ask.

I do agree, once I wagered a bonus and my balance was 50€ and the cashier showed I had 25€ bonus balance and 25€ real money. I denied the bonus and asked the chat about the withdrawal and I was told that no matter what the system says, I would have been able to get the bonus in the first place only after 1st deposit.And yes, there are many other better casinos that at least show that you're not eligible for the bonus. I always ask chat first, it was one of the rare times I didn't.

 

So yes- either read terms before registering or taking bonus, or ask the live chat, that way you should be safe always.

Wow, that's even worse! Sorry to hear about such unpleasant experiences.

I mean, it's very big disrespect of your time and personal details and of course you and your country.

You choose them, decide to register, fulfil all the obligatory fields, share your very personal details and then - thanks, sorry, bye (***** you).

 

Not to talk about efforts of wagering the bonus and spending hours doing it and then - KICK OUT! Very rude.

 

Luckily, even when I have this problem, I lean on my AskGamblers reputation :p

There was one casino (US welcome) where I registered and deposited I think $60 and soon after that my account was locked. Support told me Serbia is restricted for the bonus I came for and they will give me my deposit back, but after they charge some fee. But when I nagged and said I'm from AskGamblers, they decided to make an exception and give me my deposit back in full. Haha..first they ***** you, then make you feel like some privileged exception :p

Slightly different to what you discussed in your original post but same kind of subject.

 

Deposited at Casino Adrenalin yesterday, only played Net Ent slots for ages and then decided I wanted to play some Microgaming slots! Tried to open them but kept getting an error message! Asked live chat and their Microgamings slots are not available to UK players!!!! Very annoying. It didn't make a huge difference actually because I was happy with Net Ent slots but as soon as I met my wagering I had £130 in my account which I have just withdrawn only because there's no other games I want to play there right now.

But it's better than nothing right!

 

P.s Thanks Val for the recommendation im £110 richer :D and I'd rather be £110 richer than £110 poorer! :D :D
