Is anyone else as insane as me when they punt?

Recommended Posts

I love gambling. I've worked in the industry, I know the odds. Yet gambling for me is such a rush! I LOVE IT!

I'm always prepared to kiss goodbye any deposit I make to a gaming site.

I deposit between $20 to $50 at a time (tho I sometimes might make several of these in a day), but only very rarely withdraw any sum under $1,000. Needless to say I don't make very many withdrawals :)

I'm usually fine with this as like I said, I LOVE PUNTING! :D

It's only at times like around Christmas when money usually gets a bit tight that I might give my level of gambling any real serious thought.

And my conlusions are usually the same each time. I AM TOTALLY INSANE!

Take what I did last week for example as proof of this.

I deposited $50 at Red Flush casino, which is not a casino that I usually play at.

By the next day, I had turned that $50 into $13,000.

The following day, I thought I might just keep playing but would stop if my bankroll dropped back to $10,000. It didn't. By the end of the day, I had turned my bankroll into $30,000!

Ok, here come's the insane part...........can you guess what comes next???

24hrs later, my bankroll was zero.

I then cashed in my rewards points I had accumulated during this time and received about $1,200 that of course I proceeded to punt and lose.

The proof that I'm insane when gambling is concerned is that this wasn't a one off.

About 3 yrs ago I did almost the exact same thing at Party Casino, tho it had a slightly better outcome.

That time I turned $50 into $24,000 (about) but I did manage to make a withdrawal of around $1,000.

Now I ask, Is there anyone else that's as insane as me?

You obviously like the high variance play where you go for a big win or bust. If this doesn't frustrate you and you are still having fun there is nothing wrong with that.

BUT..... 30k is really a big win. You just don't see that every day! And it makes 1000 of your average deposits so you could be playing with it for 3 years!!!

In the casino on Rodeo we usually see this maybe 3-4 times a year that someone turns 10€ to 10k+ or in your case 50€ to 30k. On average players withdraw 30% of these winnings and play through the rest.

I could speak for myself only although I'm almost a hundred per cent sure it is the same with most of the fellow members here... The answer of your question is definitely Yes!... And I am doing it all the time, although with significantly lower wins. :)

I guess that's deeply coded into our gambling nature and there's nothing or little we could do about it. I also think it is mostly connected with the thrill of winning itself rather than the money won and that is why most of us always leave some cash after a withdrawal to 'try' the games some more. ;) Or maybe that's just  another explanation of the main driving force for each and every punter which is of course...Greed! :)

Holy mamacita!!!  :D

I wish I can turn my $50 deposit into $30,000! Heck, I'll be damn happy if I can even make it to $5,000!

If I had won a medium-sized jackpot, say $25,000 for example, the FIRST thing I would do is make a withdrawal of most of it and leave behind a balance of say $1000 to carry on playing. At least I would have saved up $24,000 for my future use...and I would surely enjoy playing with that $1000...knowing well that I have a huge amount already saved up and on the way. I have done this on a few occasions with small amounts of $1000 - $3,200...so bigger amounts would definitely push me to quickly withdraw it first before continuing playing!  ;)

So...what do I think of your behaviour? 1 word...MADNESS! Ooops...better make that 2 words...TOTAL MADNESS!!!  :D

Yes, you love punting and gambling. You're not alone! You're NEVER alone! But to waste away so much money without even thinking of saving it up first is TOTAL MADNESS! To me at least, hahahaha.  :D

But there you go...no 2 punters are alike...and no 2 humans would behave exactly alike...not even identical twins! Makes the world go round...and makes the casinos even richer! Muahahahaha.  :D  :D  :D

I wanted to say something like this, if you like to play games it is good to keep your bankroll alive by saving part of your winnings, because losing possibility is a real fact involved in gambling. If you started with $50 and $30.000 wasn´t enough winnings, maybe you were looking for satisfying another need different to money.

OMG Luciana of Askgamblers that bumped into me around the corner as a waitress and scattered my files with my lawyer suit and glasses on! Insane is not the right word to describe this at all! I get that you wanted more and more, that you felt this excellent lucky streak was going to continue and fulfill every financial deed for you but to lose $30,000..........I can't even make the next sentence but I guess my advice is to be prudent next time! $30,000!!! $30,000!?!? I feel like seeing a row of empty houses up or a magical hurricane passing and wrecking through each one and literally stomping 5 times on them before leaving!

Yet I don't blame you for trying to win more because that's my mistake too, or on second thought, everyone's mistake! Whenever a big win comes along, be sure to save up 50% or more before hitting on Lady Luck again, that way you won't walk away broke! But again $30,000 from a $50 deposit!?!? So much shock value involved >>>>>>  :o x 100

Well, think on the bright side...You actually just lost $50 of your own money. If those high amounts were your own money then you are totally loonatic. In my earlier post I said I won 50.000 euro with just 5 euro that they offered me. When I found out that 50 euro was the max cash out I was frustrated but then again it didn't cost me a penny so I actually didn't lost anything...well only my temper for a while but I'm totally over  it now.

It was my own fault, I should read the TnC first so I am the only one to blame :D silly me!

But let this be a lesson for you, don't chase the million because you won't get it because it happend almost never.

Sure it's sad to lose that kind of money but the fact is you are responsible for your own actions. If you lose, don't cry. ;)

Well, going by the above comments, I think I win the "INSANITY" competition :D

Whoohoo!!!!! :D

Seriously tho, it's obvious that making one big win to help improve my life isn't the thing driving me. Maybe other things in my life need to be sorted through that maybe the real catalysts for my insanity while punting.

Thanks for the comments guys :)

Sorry to go off topic but your pic looks like Robbie Williams! Are you Robbie :-)

In answer to your question, I too only make small depositd. My normal deposit is £20 very rarely will I deposit £50 these days although I have done in the past. The main reason for me not anymore is simply becwuse I'm just not winning much these days. To be honest I can't remember the last big withdrawal I had and I certainly have never turned any deposit into $13,000! If I ever did my finger would be hitting that withdrawal button in seconds. So no, I doubt I'm half as insane as you are! Whoop whoop!

Well, with or without the 'award' you just got from the fellow members here, I would love to know how did you actually manage to make this 'miracle' to happen? I mean how you made it from 50 bucks to 30000?! Did you played slots or table games, any preferred games, you know...

Yeah, that goes for me too!

I insanely don't wanna know how you can go profoundly insane in a game...but I do wanna know how you make $30,000 insanely out of $50! :D

Lol, I'm no Robbie Williams, that profile pic of me is about 8yrs old :D

I won it totally on slots. No jackpots. Is there a way to get my playing history like I can with poker?
If so, let me know and I'll post it here.

Yes, Microgaming software maintains a complete log of all bets made and you could check it yourself at any time. It's called playcheck and if you experience difficulties dealing with it, you could always ask the casino support to do it for you.

I found where I can look at my game history and I took a heap of screen shots to post here, but can someone tell me how I upload these from a file on my computer to post on this thread please? :)

Sorry, I'm not very computer savvy :)

Cheers guys :)

Ok, these are just a few screenshots of my game history. I did originally start of betting $0.60, but with each reasonable win, I increase my bet. The machines were all just running hot.

Oh yeh, thanks for the uploading instructions ValDes, it was much appreciated. Cheers mate :)

OMG! Betting at $45 - $90...no wonder your balance go up and down so rapidly mate!  :p

Luck was obviously on your side when you got those huge wins...for a while...until Lady Luck went out for a stroll...hehehehe.

Geeees...I would have quickly followed her out of the casino when it was at $36,000!  ^_^

Try and get screenshots of the actual game next time mate. Seeing numbers on the screen ain't much fun! Hahahaha.  :D

Congrats and well done again 'Profoundly Insane Gambler of 2014'!  :good:  :D

the money line at £/€18 a spin is a mouthwatering £6,000 win minimum every spin lol..! Just worked it out! :o

Yeah, I guess high rolling DOA when its hot could be a life changer, even at 9-18 bucks per spin.
