As a medical professional I have been seeing many people who have lost their entire life savings while trying to win the millions on the internet. Thousands and thousands of dollars wagered. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. I have never wagered online before but curiosity got the best of me and I decided to write a paper concerning online gambling. In order to do so, I had to invest my own money to open up 10 different casino accounts exclusivley for slot gaming. My patients were facinated by these internet sites. I wanted to understand them better so I took the decision. I was never worried about addiction.

I opened up 10 accounts over a 7 day period and deposited 1000 canadian dollars in each account. As a scientist, I actually see things in a different way than most people. Over a 20 day period, I read the term and conditions of every site.

party casino

32 red

win palace

spin palace

casino extra

jackpot city

unibet

bodog

888 casino
casino luck

Let me start off by saying the following about all of these casinos, they all claim 97%+ payouts.... all certified by companies like ECOGRA who has still yet to return my calls

Most are licenced in Malta, Gibratler or Curacao.....? and? it's the only way they can accept payment from processors. There a few licenced by the Khanawakee gaming commision. Cleary a fraudelant enterprise as history has shown you with absolute poker and ultimate bet and many others.

Another thing that you all need to know, when you google, "on line casino no deposit bonus" or "best online casino".... or anything similar, be reminded, these sites could not care less about you. Everything on their site is to redirect you to a casino, believe me, they receive a lot of your losses. I even saw one place refering people claiming a bonus code that would give you 100 free spins.... whether they refer you or you go alone, you still get 100 free spins! It's called an affilited program.

Back to these casino sites....

Party Casino, 32 Red, Unibet were by far the only compitent people to talk to. They actually explained everything prior to a deposit. All 3 were the same, Deposit 1000 and we will match your deposit but you will need to wager 60000 dollars in order to be able to cash out. Explained very well, so i did it. All 3 casinos let me reach 4000 dollars, by the time I had wagered less than half of the needed to be able to withdrawl, it was all gone. All 3 paid like crazy in the beginning. free spins galore. all at 9 dollars a spin. I had my secretary spinning, it really was funny to see! End result, there is no way these casinos are random. It is not possible. All 3 were being played at the same time, they all had the exact same pattern. They paid and then it all came down. Very obvious.

Unibet actually let me finish the wagering requirement while I still had 4k in the account, When I asked for a cash out, They wanted proof of who I was. I sent it all over and believe it or not, I actually got 4k from them within 10 days. Now, Was that random spinning? they use the same platform as many others? micro gaming... who knows.

The rest of the casinos are just a joke, especially win palace.... I deposited 1000 dollars and received 4000 in bonus money? Alarm bell went right off. A disgraceful attempt to misead people. 150000 wager requirement? Are you kidding me.... My poor secretary begged me to be alloowed to wager more than 10 dollars, I decided to agree after an hour. Once the wager went to 25 dollars a spin, the tide had turned, no more free spins, no more bonus, absolutely nothing. Within 30 minutes, the 7k was gone. They let us float knowing perfectly well that we could not cash out.

Jackpot city, casino luck and spin palace have the micro gaming platform, but there is no way the spins are random. We kept hitting that mega moolah free spin for the 3 million dollar jack pot, never saw a payout out more than 11 dollars after a spin. Once we played for over an hour, the free spins and the jackpot trigger somehow vanished on all three sites? There is obviously a problem there.

Bodog not only has a very crappy platform, they dont even let you win anything. 3 times 10 free spins paid us 0, yup. I was laughing so hard it made me cry.

End result, I think people are so mislead and have this feeling of belonging to a fantasy life that they are willing to risk anything to get it. Take your hundred dollar bill and throw it in the garbage or deposit it online to gamble, it is the exact same thing folks.

These on line gaming sites are not random in any sense of the word. They feed of your weakness and slowly make you die inside. I wish I hade more time to tell you more about my research, Alot more things went on while the accounts were open. Many calls, many times they called me, especially 888 casino, at one point I told the lady that shewould be better off begging on the streets. 888 Casino is not there to offer gaming, they are there to offer free bonuses that you can not cash out anyway? Just a bad business practice in every sense of the word.

You want to gamble? You want to have fun.... Take some change with you and goto your nearest casino.... have a drink, relax.... I can pretty much assure you that even if you win 10k online while playing slots, very rare, you will just end up losing it right back.

Avoid if you can, seek professional help if need be. It is never too late...

Yes you can lose lots online but if you stick to a bankroll and bet like half of 1% of the bankroll on the right games it can be extremely profitable. The problems arise when you bet outwith your limits or tilt and are steaming about losses like on poker sites.

With good bankroll management and as long as you can find the cashout button it can be a very lucrative venture indeed..What slots may I ask were you playing 9bucks a spin on?

Slots have different variances man, for a game that can take really quickly like spring break or break da bank again there is another that gives a brilliant RTP like hohoho or frankencash or even avalon again as long as you plan your gaming, Find a game you really like and you are golden. As long as you keep switching games after big hits or after it runs cold you can make a lot. I went on Hol for first time in 10 years from casino winnings all from just £50 deposit so I cannot grumble about them really. Just last week I won over £1,200 from a 2euro free chip too so again can't complain.

Dr Jimmy V - I actually referred your Post to one of the Admins on the site (the Luciana in fact as I have no doubt if our other admin Valdes wasn't on holiday he would have already commented on here) because I wasn't sure how to respond if I am completely honest. And I've just taken a second read of what you wrote.

The reason why I referred it before responding is because of one of the tags you included in your post RIGGED. The moment I seen it I instantly got on the defence. Everyone is more than welcome to come here and share the opinions and I always say in everyone's defence no one is wrong.

Gambling is a very lucrative business - it's an industry that will always cause much controversy but I have one simple saying for those who slate it - and that is "if you don't like it - then don't deposit your money - don't gamble".

There is no doubt in my mind that if you had bet the same amount of money and come out thousands and thousands of pounds richer your story and 'research' for your patients would have been a very different one. One of utmost joy I expect.

2 people can enter a casino with the exact same amount of money, and play the exact same slots or table games/poker and one could come out £10,000 richer the other one could come out penniless!

2 people could enter a casino, same scenario above and they both loose all the money!

2 people could enter a casino, same scenario, and they both come out £10,000 richer

Do you know why?

BECAUSE ITS ALL A GAME OF PURE AND SIMPLE LUCK.

Hey Jimmy :)

Welcome to our forum! I've noticed your post and found it interesting, even a controversial in some point!

In your post, it seems to me that you presented all the players like some desperate, addicted people, who's only reason to play is hope for a lot of easy, big wins and huge money, but that's all so fake, hooking and cruel!

Well, honestly, if you look better, every business that exists will try to get your money! That's why they exist! But, the question is, will they be able to give you something in return? A good service, a merchant, an entertainment!

Not all the players are sick, addicted, desperate people. Look at ours, for example!

They are all normal, great people, who love to gamble, love to play and of course, they are happy to win, but they are realistic - they know how it works and they know it's pure luck, but they still like it! They don't set up some extraordinary expectations of winnings, neither find online casinos a fairytales that will change their lives! Shorter, they have normal, everyday lives and jobs, but love to spin a wheel, time to time, even just for fun or to try a new game! And certainly, they are not brain washed!

Look at some other type of online sites! Facebook and other social media! First thing a millions of people do, before they even open their eyes in the morning, is to open Facebook! They are wasting so much time reading and posting nonsense, playing stupid games, hanging on other peoples profile's and privacy! So many of them spend their real money on that games, improving their virtual farms or weapons, or whatever!

And they don't get ANYTHING in return, there's not even a hope, neither excitement, that you can win something!

So, what are these millions of people that do that? Addictives? Stupid? Ill?

No..that's just so normal and cool, but online casinos and gambling is so dangerous and sick!  <_<

Hello jimmy. I must agree with you on this. I have lost over 25000 dollars since April 9th. I keep depositing and depositing and nothing else matters to me except for casino slots. I must confess that the money that I have lost has not broken me. I am a professional with a great career. I am 25 years old and never gambled before I opened an account at a casino named 888 poker. They continued to give me more money if I deposited more and they always called me to make me offers that I could not refused. I never thought online slots were rigged to pay certain players until today. I have finally realized reality. The 97% pay out rate is theoretical. It is not practical. Exactly what does that mean? Well I did my research and found out that it means over the period of the actual slot machine, period can be 9000000 years, the pay out rate will be 97%! So if I a machine takes 10000 players for one dollar and it pays one player 9700, there is the pay out. So, 10000 players lose and one wins? Theoretically? I read many forums about dishonest sites. The site I played on mostly was not dishonest. They were applying the theoretical 97% pay out.

Today though I was a victim of fraud. There is no doubt about this. None. I opened account at a casino named THRILLS, same gaming like 32 red and others. I deposited 1000 dollars and received a 200 dollar bonus. I had to wager 36000 to be able to withdraw. So....here is where the fun begins. I actually reached 6000 within 4 minutes of play. Yup. I emailed support praising them. How nice there place is and how happy I was. THRILLS casino then proceeded to allow me to go a little up and a little down on different games for over 2 hours. I knew I couldn't cash out. They were clear about that. No problem there. I will get right to the end of my story. I met the wager requirement when I had exactly 12 dollars left in account. I could not believe it. I was shocked. I kept checking it every other minute. The payouts at one point just stopped. The wheels spun twice as fast. It was disgusting. I actually got sick to my stomach while I was witnessing this. I read on some other forums similar cases.

I will only post one message here. Do not ever be sucked into THRILLS casino. You will regret it. Never mind the reviews you read. Most are fake.

For what's it's worth, the 25000 I lost since April was lost on 32 red, 888 and jackpot city. Sometimes I could have cashed out 4000 from a 1000 deposit but never did. I just started betting 50 a spin. Maybe it was my fault not to cash out.

But THRILLS casino is just a fraud. I only put In 1000, I hope none of you reading this ever make the same mistake.

Trust me Thrills Casino is one of the safest casinos around! Do not smite the name of a reputable casino just because you had a bad run on it! I won over £650 on Thrills from a few deposits you were clearly playing just cold games you need to find a game that you like that produces wins often for me games like jack and the beanstalk, dead or alive(play this careful) bdba if played sensible can be extremely lucrative. I avoid games like secret of the stones, flowers, elements because they just don't payout much to me if anything! going into a casino all guns blazing will result in you losing a fortune! If you have a grand to work with you should begin with bets of £2.50-£3( on stuff like bloodsuckers, simsalabim, jatb etc) if doa id say begin with bets of 90p-1.35 as it is super high variance! Seriously though Thrills are excellent I haven't even given them my id yet and they paid out £650 to me pretty quickly! What games were you playing dude? and what bet levels?

Lots of things you over do in life can be bad, does that mean we should all avoid many things? Eating for example or maybe drinking. The problem lies within the person, and if they are not over doing gambling, you can bet they will be over doing something.

Every player will always have their own unique experience in a casino - so I think to make such comment is a bit harsh as I am sure there are players that absolutely adore this casino and there will be ones who maybe share bad experiences like yours.

If you wish to make a complaint you can do so HERE

If it was an evil rogue casino then fair enough but the guys just spitting the dummy out because he blew his load too quickly! I didn't win at Thrills immediately either but I did when I played the slots I know that is definitely the key! A bit of luck involved too though! ;)

Hello Dr Jimmy V. and welcome to the AskGamblers forum. :)

Forgive me for not commenting on your post in details...but it's just not worth the efforts, simple as that! And if you really dare to call your post from above a "research", then I'm seriously concerned about the scientific approach used in your area of science, really. ;) There's at least a dozen of serious contradictions in your statement, which are obvious for an experienced gambler. But even if one can somehow accept and find an answer to all these contradictions, I'm afraid there are bigger and more serious problems ahead. Because I never had the chance to see even a single proof for your words?! Where are the screenshots, the logs from your sessions, the analysis of all data gathered during this so called "research"? Have you ever heard anything about things like RNG, RTP and TRTP? Have you ever heard and dealt with companies like eCOGRA and Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) and how they test and evaluate gambling software BEFORE giving their approval and certificate? ...

And just to show you that some of us, ''the greedy and blood sucking affiliates'', are not that bad after all and always opened for a decent and fair discussion, I'll leave this thread opened and will give you the chance to prove me (and all people here as well) wrong. :)

Hello Jim. I agree with everything you said and have something to ad.

Opened account at BGO casino. I am also Canadian. I used UKASH to deposit 250 dollars which was converted into pounds.

I got a bonus and lost everything after a while.

Then I made another deposit of 150 without bonus. I lost again.

Then I put in 200 and reached 4600 pounds which is around 9k canadian.

I asked for withdrawal. They asked for proof yada yada yada and it took a day and all was good

After 2 hours of waiting for reply, he told me I had to use UKash to withdraw??? 9000 ukash ticket? Are you kidding me????? I begged for a cheque or a wire but same robotic response. Take a ukash ticket????? I was telling them I wouldn't withdrawal but to set it all up in case I ever wanted too. Here are their responses......

Hi Johnny,

Thank you for your email.

I understand the method you wish to use in order to withdraw but as I have stated, this is not going to be possible.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Sean

The bgo team

Hi Johnny,

Thank you for your email.

Again, sorry but we do not support cheques as a method of payment.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Hi Johnny,

Thank you for your email.

As you have only deposited with UKash then you can only withdraw with this method.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Tom

The bgo team

And it just kept going and going until I got so fed up and realized that I would never see my money. I let the starburst run at 50 bucks a spin until it was all gone

Beware of BGO, they are by far the biggest thieves online.

9000 dollar UKASH ticket???? The only withdrawal option. Are u freKing kidding me.

Johnny

Oh. By the way JIm, the stuff you said about bonuses rigging the payout is so real. Mostly on microgaming. If you take a 200 bonus at 50x you will most probably reach a few K before they eat it away. I can send you some of my play check. You will faint!

Oh please - this topic is getting a joke!

If you guys had won then you wouldn't be here complaining would you? Why deposit if your not willing to loose?

Mods, better you keep your biased opinion away from this thread

Really Johnny! Your really telling me to keep my biased opinion away from this thread?!!

Please don't make me laugh!

My loyalty to casinos and ask gamblers means I am free to share my opinion in whichever thread I like - as are you!

How can you say I am biased? What you think I haven't lost in casinos? You think I haven't lost money? Well your wrong because I have - the difference between you and me is I know how gambling works - I am prepared to loose a deposit!

When I make the decision to deposit my hard earned money into a casino - I AM PREPARED TO LOOSE IT.

Obviously I don't want to loose it but if you can't accept that you may loose it then you shouldn't deposit in the first place - I can't understand why people would be prepared to gamble if they are not prepared to loose.

My opinion is NOT biased at all - and I don't always stick up for a casino. There have been plenty of occasions where my game play has caused some kind of problem where I have had to question the casino - even open a complaint of Ask Gamblers and all it takes is a bit of perseverance and patients - and problems will get resolved.

Every business makes mistakes no one is perfect (well apart from me) so please do not say my opinion is biased.

All I am saying is your story would be a lot different if you had won and I just feel that maybe gambling isn't for you!

I still don't understand why do you still bother yourself and us here, with deposits, casinos, affiliates and withdrawals?

Go play outside, quit casinos! Or you're trying to teach us something, open our blurred eyes, change the world, be a hero, prove something or whatever?!

I don't understand the point of all your effort here :)

Latest email from BGO......

After you read it, I will point out every flaw....

Hi Johnny,

Thank you for your email.

We have only stated to you the available methods of payment.

It is the players responsibility to ensure they have a suitable withdrawal method before playing.

We could of released a UKASH withdrawal for you or back to the pre-paid card you used as discussed in previous emails.

It is clearly stated in the terms and FAQ's that only a deposit method in the players name that has made a £10 deposit can be used.

Our live chat service does work and is tested daily to ensure this, we are a busy team and have many player queries to deal with so if the symbol is not available at the time then we are speaking with other players, but will be more then happy to assist you via email.

We appreciate all feedback and suggestions so that we may continue to ensure we are offering the best product and service possible to our members. This will also allow us to constantly improve and update our software accordingly to suit our members’ requirements.

We have now passed your feedback onto the relevant department.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards,

Lee

The bgo team

Have you seen the new bgo app via our mobile site?

If so, to help us improve our offering, we want to give you £10 for giving us feedback of what you think, via the App Store.

When you have a spare 5-10 minutes, log into your account, search for our app and complete a review for us.

Use the following instructions via this link;*******

Terms for this offer

· Those players who have completed a review will be credited on the first weekday at the start of the following month. The username must be stated within the review

· This bonus can only be claimed once and only players offered this bonus via Customer Services are entitled to claim it.

· We reserve the right to withheld any payment of the £10 bonus due to the status of your account and/or other mitigating factors

· An I-Tunes account will be needed to be able to complete this process and claim the bonus.

A-my responsibility to accept a 9000 ukash voucher? They don't write cheques or do bank transfer???? Prepaid card was a prepaid vanilla master card that goes straight to the garbage after use. He offered to refund that???? Ridiculous.

B-they want feedback on the App Store???? Learn Apple law BGO, apple does not offer any gambling apps in CanadA! Yet another mistake on their part yet again. Ridiculous to offer me 10 pounds for that. App Store does not offer the BGO app in Canada!

C-lol at the remark about live chat. It does not work. I also read in other forums that it is never available. Another ridiculous statement from BGO

And to you LucianA, as you are entitled to your opinion, so am I. I have backed up everything that I have said. Everything. BGO will be on your bad list soon. Like so many others. They did not pay me the money they owed when I wanted it. They stalled and stalled and then offered me a 9000 UKash voucher. Maybe I could have taken the voucher and Spent it buying bitcoins! Get real.

My last post regarding this issue. BGO is an unprofessional company who will not pay Canadians. Simple as that

Johnny I feel for you I really do - if you have won that money fair and square there is nothing more frustrating than not being able to cash out, but unfortunately casinos are bound by their terms and conditions - and I am first to hold my hands up and say I don't always read these - so when a problem occurs and I know I haven't read the terms I have to only blame myself.

Our guru will tell you how many times he has heard me say - I haven't read the terms - but its my fault not the casinos.

Will BGO not let you deposit with a card so then that will become a verified payment method? I know its a long shot but surely worth a try.
