How do I choose the best bonuses?

Recommended Posts

OK then, well I was going to ask....How people go about choosing the best bonuses to go for and what you guys look for but the information is all here so I better get reading lol!

Great question, great username ! Is the question easy to answer! Nooooo

Its so hard to determine good bonuses from bad bonuses, I often even think are any bonuses bad?? They all give that all important bankroll a boost in the right direction ... But is what follows (the wagering) always a good thing? Who knows...oh god I'm useless ...answering a question with a question hahaha! Sorry...

I would maybe try out a nice simple bonus 100% ... NetEnt.... £20 deposit..... 35 x wagering or less (on bonus only, not bonus and deposit )

I'm no bonus hunter, since taking a bonus usually means some restrictions being enforced to your game play. However, taking advantage from a deposit bonus can extend your game time and give some additional bankroll to maybe try bigger bets.

The art is to be able to separate good deposit bonuses from the bad. Like cocopop mentioned in het reply above me it's important to know if you can extract any value from the offered  deposit bonuses. The higher the wagering requirements, the lower your odds usually are to be able to cash out with some profit.

There is something like a Bonus EV-calculator which gives you the expected value based on the bonus percentage, wagering requirements and the avg. RTP of a specific slot. Experienced bonus users tend to make use of such calculations before they take on a bonus.

I usually only use deposit bonuses if they offer a bonus percentage of 100% or above and wagering requirements of 35x or less and very rarely 40x. Anything higher is usually not worth the effort for me.

Then you also have no-deposit bonuses which don't have any risks involved. You will usually come across very high wagering requirements, since they are free and some casinos just don't want you to be able to cash out from them lol. I usually don't use these except if it's a reliable casino that has a decent offer with WR of 50 or less. Over the past 12 months I been able to convert small no-deposit bonuses and free spins offers to 850 euros, 650 euros, 100 euros and 25 euros. I cashed most of these out and messed it up at some other casinos lol. So think about it...chances are slim, but you have nothing to lose eventually.

True that Valdes! You never know when it's going to be your lucky day. All we have is the avg. RTP to make a calculated guess from, but these figures are based on millions and millions of spins. With any bonus you have to be lucky that you have a couple of decent big hits during those 2,000+ spins you play spins you play. ;)

Depends on the wagering requirements, cashout limits, terms, the casino being legit or rogued and what Valdes said. Is she going to powder her nose & put on her high heels during a showdown or is she going to help you break the bank (not literally of course). The question alone is a mystery to me. She comes and goes

In what it concerns me the best bonuses are the no-deposit bonuses that need to be wagered 30-40 times and that for which the card games (like 3 Cards Poker or BlackJack) are accepted. Lately I found that also some games of Texas Hold'em can be played with great chances to meet the  playthrough. From my experience these casinos are in general MicroGaming Casinos and some PlayTech casinos.

I am a very stingy person with my finances and I prefer not to risk my own money but to play always with the casinos money even if doing so the chances to win something are somewhat smaller.

What percentage do those game count?

Card games like those I mentioned above usually count 50% or 25% in a Microgaming casino and even less (15%) in other casinos, but it is also true from what I learned on the internet that playing BlackJack "by the rules" with a single deck, the player has an advantage over the house, of about 1%. So, if you play BJ "by the rules" (6 decks in MG casinos) giving the house an advantage of less than 1%, for a bonus of let say 50 Euro (35x WR) = 50*35*2 =3500 Euro, you wil eventually loose under 35 Euro, the actual value of the given bonus. So that half times you will win money, half times you will loose the bonus.

Sounds good in theory, but I wonder what are your results in practice? :p

Well in practice, if one finds a casino for which card games counts 50% towards WR (mostly MG vasinos as I said), the chances to make an withdraw by playing these card games are bigger than when playing at slots. I only discovered only about 2 or 3 slots until now where indeed one has some decent chances to meet the entire playthrough even for relative small requirements like 35-50x.

And, there is something else to say here: I regret I won't have the chance to play in a real Casino from LasVegas. I heard there you also can get some vouchers (for some hundreds dollars) and you are allowed to play BJ. Real BJ. This is the only game where a mathematician realy busted the casinos (he invented at the beginning of the last century the method of counting the cards).  Of course those times BJ was played with only one deck.

I made my apprentice in online grambling about 4 years ago in ACCasino. They were offering a bonus of 50 USD for each new player, and I think this is the only casino where I have more than 50 acoounts under different names. I made these accounts to get the bonus and learn how to play different games. And what I learned was that there is no way a player can beat the house. Even the best and elaborate method of playing fails playing on long run.

Don't tell about that on their rep here! ;)

Now seriously...  Yes, there is NO way to beat the casino in a long period of time. Sooner or later the predefined RTP would do its job and bring the casino what's needed. :D

Are bonuses not really that good of a deal?

Caesar's online casino offer a nice bonus for small deposits, and I liked the games they offer.

Thanks!

Deposit bonuses can be good and bad. Each have their own terms and conditions again these can be both good and bad depending on each individual bonus.

Its important to be sure you read the terms of the bonus before accepting to avoid any disappointment!

Yep, that's true Lady Sharon and the fact that it has a higher wagering requirements like 99x was not a good example of bonus well that's just my opinion i know that there are many players their that likes high roll bonuses:rolleyes:

Care to explain why?

Care to explain why I'm a high roller bonus fan? :o

Well, it's quite simple actually. The bigger the deposit is, the bigger and better the bonus would be. The bigger and better the bonus is, the bigger the starting balance would be. The bigger the starting balance is, the more the spins at a higher bet would be. The more the spins at a higher bet would be, the bigger your chance to hit really big are. ;)

I believe this is a rock solid argument to support my never ending love to the high roller bonuses
