How to resist on reversing a withdrawal?

I've got to admit this topic stirs up a lot of emotion for me. Reversing withdrawals has got me into so much trouble in the past and I honestly just completely hate myself if I end up reversing all of my winnings and losing them, particularly if I've already told my boyfriend how much I've won and how happy I am etc ...

Recently I have actually begun using the deposit limits and the "take a break" settings at some of my favourite casinos to help me with the temptation to play on when I know its time to take a break, and back in the day I would giggle at people who couldn't control themselves and used such things ... I guess I learnt some humility as I graduated to being a habitual gambler!

The best thing you can do though of course, is to choose casinos that have NO reverse period allowed, and that is what I do now - once the money hits my Skrill or bank account, the temptation to spend it again drop massively as it is now real money that I could spend on anything I like. If your in a country where you have such options available, then use them!

I find the best way to prevent the dreaded reverse withdraw is to request a week cooling off period to allow the account locked in order for the funds to withdraw smoothly. We've all been there, reversed and lost the winnings and own deposit. It is very embarrassing!

I recently won a large amount and there was no cooling off period. I withdrew on Wednesday, 48 hour pending period. One day for the payments team to check documents and approve the withdraw. As it was the weekend and not a 'business day' that didn't count! So it was pending over the weekend and Monday the withdraw was finally approved! So basically 4 days of pending period which isn't good at all. The only option was to exclude myself. Not the best idea but it allowed me to withdraw my winnings :)

If casino's are going to drag the pending withdraws then I will set a cooling off period. If they can't enforce that then exclude myself. Sorry but our temptation to return should not be taken advantage of or exploited. After all they stress about responsibly gambling so what I did in my opinion was responsible. When we make a withdraw we expect to be paid promptly.

Hello sunnyx and welcome to the AskGamblers forum. :)

Thanks for sharing. Seems like you were talking about a Microgaming casino maybe?

Anyways, you can find all suggested methods of how to resist on reversing withdrawals in the very first post of this thread. Some of them are really nontraditional. :)

After yet another nightmare incident in the past week I have now chosen to play ONLY at casinos that don't have this facility.... I just can't handle the temptation! Stan James are a good choice but don't offer much in the way of promotions. Paddy Power also don't have any reverse function in the casino/poker sides but I understand it is available in the sportsbook for some reason? ... Oh, SKy Vegas also don't do reversing as well.

Sure there are lots more, can anybody else list there favourite casinos here with NO reverse withdrawal capability?

i like betat. no ugly reverse button - 0 minutes to 2 hours until i recieve the message "funds recieved" from neteller.

vera & john - also very fast - however they have that evil button.

what i think is extremely annoying that some mg-only casinos extended pending periods and abolished flushing.

those changes were only made in one intention: players temptation and exploitation.

Reversign withdrawals has never been a problem of mine.. Over the time I've been gambling, I have reversed my withdrawals only few times. I also like to tell my partner about my winnings and then we usually plan where we're gonna spend them and I get so excited that I want the money faster to my ewallet. I am learning and trying not to be greedy and appreciate even the small winnings I get and I almost never reverse withdrwals because I try to learn from other people mistakes- in most cases you lose your winnings and that's something I wouldn't want to risk.

That is nice but I don't have partner right now and you know... I am alone, bored, than next thing in my head is "yes, why not?" :)

Don't you have some goal where you want to spend your winnings? Save for a trip or something? I think setting some goals for your winnings can be a good motivator too.

That is interesting point of view maybe I should work on that... but lack of motivation is reason of lack of goals, so you don't want to go that deep in my situation, trust me :)

I know it's easier to be said than done.. Especially when a dear friend greed comes in and says "let's reverse and win more!". Right now I have many goals and many ways to spend my winnings so maybe that's why I don't reverse. So I believe it's better to make some goals for your winnings, for something that you really, really want, and secondly, try to avoid places with reversing time or don't go online while your reversing time isn't over! :)  But at the end, do what makes you happy :)

Redbet and all casinos within their group. They process so fast that there is simply no time left to reverse your withdrawal. :)

Most of the reputable brands would do their best if you go to chat and ask them to flush your withdrawal although such an option is not listed within their terms. I know that from personal experience across dozen of casinos where I just asked politely and then my withdrawals have been pulled out of the list for pending withdrawals. And once your cashout is not listed there, you cannot cancel it, right? ;)

I found a way not to reverse withdrawal.

Find a casino that does not give you that option. I found 4 so far. Once u cash, VAmos. It's done.

I have closed accounts where I have an RTP WELL over 100% because of the reverse withdrawal.

My Achilles back In the day.

Also. For those casinos that do offer reverse, play play play and cAshout just before u sleep. Many of my handpicked process the payment before I wake up.

It's the only way.

These are really helpful for sure. The easiest and reliable. What I don't get is the concept of no-limit hold’em versus limit hold’em. In no-limit you can bet however much you think you need to get the job done. If you are trying to push someone off a hand, you can bet big and really put the screws to them. Can anyone explain me this concept?
