Dankort is the national credit card of Denmark. Founded in 1983, Dankort gives Danish and non-Danish residents the ability to make purchases and pay for them later. Most Dankort cards are now integrated with the Visa brand to ensure that they can be used easily around the world. Although Dankort is only specifically accepted at about 15 of our online casinos, a Dankort card will likely work at any online casino bearing the Visa logo.
Ooops, your search did not match any casino.
Any casino that is safe to play at but not in the Top 50 list is located here. Please note that none of these casinos have shown fraudulent behavior in the past (those casinos are in the Rogue Casinos list). Your experience at any of these casinos should be perfectly fine.
Casinos under this section are not in business anymore. We are keeping them listed simply for informational purposes only.
If you're interested in becoming a Dankort credit card holder, you'll just need to be a resident of Denmark. You will then need to fill out an application with a Dankort provider, such as one of most major Danish banks. If your application is approved, you should receive your card within several business days.
Once you have a Dankort card in hand, depositing at most of our listed online casinos is incredibly simple. All you need to do is log into the casino and choose “credit card”, “Dankort”, or “Visa” from the list of available deposit options. Then enter your card number, security code, and expiration date if necessary. Choose how much you want to deposit and submit the transaction. The money should be available for play instantly.
By choosing to deposit into an online casino account with Dankort, you give yourself a high level of convenience. Since all the identity and fraud prevention checks are done when you apply for the card, you do not have to worry about doing any additional verification online with Dankort before you can use the card. Although you may need to provide documentation to the casino upon your first withdrawal, this is far easier than having to do address or bank account verification with an e-wallet.
If you live within Denmark, Dankort may also provide you with the ability to deposit without incurring any fees. Most third-party e-wallets and other payment processors make money on these fees, but Dankort relies upon the interest accumulated on purchases instead. Even if the casino you play is one of the few that does charge for credit card deposits, the percentage will almost certainly be less than you'd be charged through an e-wallet.
The biggest reason not to use Dankort is the identity theft risk. If your credit card number, security code, or other information gets leaked onto the Web, you could be at risk for becoming the victim of fraud. Of course, most online casinos use the industry standard of 128-bit SSL encryption, so the biggest risk comes from your own computer. As long as you have a firewall and regularly check for viruses and other malware, using Dankort to deposit should not put you in any financial danger.
Although Dankort does issue cards to residents outside of Denmark, foreign residents may be charged a substantial fee depending on who issued the card. For this reason, we encourage you to look at alternatives if you are not a Danish resident. These are brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, UnionPay, or JCB card. If you do not already have one of these and would like one, check with your bank or credit union to see if you can apply.
